Transactions Internship

As LevelTen Energy’s European Transactions Intern, you’ll support the growth and efficiency of our European Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) transactions team. This is a formal academic internship through a university agreement (Convenio de Prácticas Académicas) in accordance with Spanish regulations.

You’ll gain hands-on experience in renewable energy markets, working with experienced professionals to help improve transaction operations and drive successful PPA outcomes across Europe.

Time Frame

  • Duration: 3-6 months 
  • Schedule: Full-time (40 hours per week)
  • Location: LevelTen Energy office in Madrid, Spain (on-site)

Learning Objectives

Reporting to the Director of European Transactions, you will gain exposure to the commercial, analytical, and operational processes that support renewable energy PPA transactions. This internship emphasizes learning through practical experience, supported by mentorship and collaboration with industry experts.

You will gain experience in:

  • PPA Transaction Materials: Supporting the preparation of RFP (Request for Proposal) documentation and related materials.
  • Data Analysis: Conducting data quality checks and evaluations of European renewable project offers.
  • Platform Mastery: Learning how to use and guide users through the LevelTen Platform.
  • Client Interaction: Supporting transaction managers in advancing opportunities through the procurement process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the creation and formatting of buyer and seller RFP documentation.
  • Support setup and quality assurance of RFPs on the LevelTen Platform.
  • Conduct data cleaning, validation, and reporting for PPA offers.
  • Support project developers in submitting and updating PPA offers during active RFP processes.
  • Contribute to overall team efficiency and coordination through clear documentation and communication.

Qualifications

Required

  • Currently enrolled in, or eligible through their university to complete, a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program that allows participation in an academic internship (Convenio de Prácticas Académicas).
  • Demonstrated interest in renewable energy, sustainability, or energy markets.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English (working language).
  • Excellent organization, attention to detail, and analytical abilities.
  • Proactive, collaborative, and eager to learn in a dynamic, fast-moving environment.
  • Candidates must be authorized to undertake an academic internship in Spain under a university agreement.

Preferred

  • Coursework or experience related to economics, energy, environmental studies, or business.
  • Familiarity with Excel, Salesforce, or business analytics tools.
  • Proficiency in another European language (preferably Spanish, French, or German).

Additional Information

This internship is part of a university-company agreement (Convenio de Prácticas Académicas) and is designed for learning and professional development as part of an academic program. To participate, students must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program at an accredited university. The internship does not create an employment relationship with LevelTen Energy.
