Purpose
The Training Manager for is responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive training programs that ensure operational excellence across all pharmacy functions. This role supports the development of pharmacy staff by delivering targeted education that enhances patient care, promotes compliance with accreditation and regulatory requirements, and aligns with organizational goals. The Training Manager plays a critical role in fostering a culture of continuous learning, quality improvement, and professional development within a highly specialized and evolving healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute a strategic training plan aligned with pharmacy operations and business objectives.
Lead and mentor a team of training professionals to create and deliver consistent, high-quality learning experiences.
Collaborate cross functionally to assess training needs and design programs that enhance patient and customer experiences.
Oversee onboarding programs to ensure smooth integration and readiness of new hires.
Drive continuous improvement through training initiatives that support operational excellence and quality standards.
Support change management efforts by delivering training for new systems, processes, and strategic initiatives.
Deliver and evaluate training programs across multiple formats (in-person, virtual, self-driven) using performance metrics.
Manage training platforms and tools (e.g., systems like Cornerstone or VYOND) to optimize learning delivery.
Ensure training content remains current with industry trends, compliance requirements, and adult learning best practices.
Minimum Requirement
Degree or equivalent experience. Typically requires 6+ years of professional experience and 0-2 years of supervisory experience.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 6+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Critical Skills
Minimum 1 year of experience in a managerial training environment, including direct leadership of staff.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experienced with training systems or learning management platforms.
Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Detail-oriented with a strong quality focus, ensuring adherence to standards and continuous improvement.
Customer service mindset with strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Adaptable and resilient, able to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with changing priorities.

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations.
