Position Summary:

Works with the Talent & Career Development Manager to identify training needs, to develop training outlines and course content, deliver training, and assist with internal communications.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Promotes superior guest service.

  • Must possess excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to foster a supportive and enabling team environment.

  • Works with Training and Communication Specialist Lead to organize, prepare, and execute new hire orientations.                        

  • Helps to develop teaching aids, such as handbooks, visual aids, and tutorials. 

  • Conducts training sessions covering specified areas such as team member orientations, on-the-job training, professional development, leadership development, and other areas as requested. 

  • Conducts enrollment in training programs, tracks attendance, and updates all employment files regarding completion of programs.

  • Responsible for coordinating, scheduling, setting up, and breaking down trainings.

  • Maintain the team member events calendar and training schedule board.

  • Responsible for maintaining the HR training rooms.

  • Helps to create best-in-class internal communications that fuels team member engagement, influences connectivity and culture, including daily newsletters.

  • Facilitates Team Tâlícn, our event committee comprised of team members from all departments.

  • Assists in planning, coordinating, and executing internal team member activities and events.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned. 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Development or related field with an emphasis on learning and development.

  • Minimum of one (1) years’ experience as a trainer/training specialist plus experience presenting training programs or two (2) years’ experience in an administrative support and/or events coordination role. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

  • Must possess excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to foster a supportive and enabling team environment.

  • Must have a dynamic personality and the ability to engage and build rapport with new team members. 

  • Intermediate Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Cloud skills.

  • Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time.

  • Must be willing to work in a smoking environment.

  • Must be willing to adhere to company health and safety measures.

  • Must be able to work various shifts and flexible hours.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Casino experience

  • Experience maintaining internal web content and/or communications
