Position Summary:

Reviewing and distributing production, work, and schedules; conferring with Production Control Supervisor to determine progress of work and completion dates; and compiling reports on progress of work, inventory levels, cost, and production problems.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the flow of production jobs, and tooling.
  • Help to manage inventory needs as it pertains to operations
  • Clean and calibrate gauges for production parts.
  • Maintain a log of tools and gauging distributed to the operators
  • Enter all job packet information into dispatch computer.
  • Prioritize job packets based off scheduling needs for forecast, part priority, 1 ,2 3, etc.
  • Maintain the job status as the work order moves through each operation.
  • Assist the material handler with raw and inventory material transactions.
  • Inspect packets for all needed information/ paperwork necessary for completing the work order.
  • Assist scheduling with information regarding work order issues e.g., shortage of material, BOM issues, Scrap per operation.
  • Filling out a scrap form on an op-to-op basis as the work order moves through the shop, this includes working with Production Supervisor to make decisions on increasing or decreasing job quantity.
  • Ensuring all paperwork is completed by the operator for each operation in the job packet.
  • Work with Material Handler and Set-Up personnel to pre-stage jobs and material.

Computer experience with MS Office

Position Qualifications:

Education: HS graduate or equivalent required

Experience: 1+ years of prior production experience

Experience in manufacturing scheduling environment preferred

Background involving machining tools / Tool crib experience
