Job duties:
Work under the guidance of the Senior Global Content Manager, Editor-in-Chief of WeLiveSecurity.com and the Senior PR Coordinator to ensure the department’s content commitments are met.
Research, write/edit in English, to create cybersecurity content (in the form of press releases, blog posts and reports) for corporate communications, product/service awareness, security and brand awareness as well as demand generation initiatives.
Work with the team’s existing Security Writers to further develop their hard skills, plan industry relevant stories, feedback content strategy and take co-responsibility for publishing approval.
Work with external providers (e.g. freelance writers and PR agencies), build comprehensive briefs and provide both timely feedback and editing of submitted content to publish high quality copy in the required tone of voice.
Liaise with internal content requestors and subject matter experts to ensure content outputs align with company strategy, goals and approved messaging.
Support the crisis communications response team, primarily editing reactive communications.
Use Content Management Systems, (LLMs) and other editorial tools to write, edit, proofread, and fact-check assigned content to ensure timely publication.
Maintain Content Management Systems - Approximately 20-25% of each work week.
Fulfil assigned editorial tasks for ESETBlog.com, WeLiveSecurity.com, ESET Newsroom and other prioritized editorial requests.
Develop, train and harness AI-powered internal research and content tools.
Qualifications
Background in copywriting, journalism, PR, editing, and/or B2B product marketing with an emphasis on developing public facing communications outputs/assets. Leading candidates will have had a diversity of roles as writer, editor and/or quality gate and have strong interpersonal skills for stakeholder engagement.
Experience
Candidates should have five+ years’ experience with writing/communications related to IT products and services, cybersecurity, and/or B2B technology or other complex copywriting in preparation for this role.
Ideal candidates will have a minimum of three years in an editorial role.

The successful candidate should be ready for intensive immersion in English, participating in all meetings, communications and content writing in the language.
This job requires the ability to interview experts to find the story while adhering to industry and company editorial standards.
Inter-departmental, division and regional relationships must be built and maintained to succeed in this role.
The candidate should be able to independently advocate for content prioritization decisions with stakeholders, acting upon changes in delivery capacity and complexity.
Ability to maintain several stakeholder relationships, helping to create and communicate agile production plans.
Mentoring & Coordination skills
The successful candidate will not manage team members; however, they will mentor writers and provide feedback to external copy suppliers and requestors. Upon the absence of their supervisors the Global Content Editor will assume their responsibilities and take ownership/coordination of assigned projects, thoroughly evaluate briefs and work to understand subject matter complexities and delivery processes.

Education
We are seeking candidates whose educational attainment required extensive academic writing and research. Accordingly, while many candidates may have backgrounds in IT and engineering, law, journalism, social sciences and other coursework will also be considered.
Ideal candidates should be either native English speakers or demonstrate English language proficiency within the CEFR framework at a C2 level or on the ACTFL scale as Superior/Distinguished.
Basic wage component (brutto): from 2 700 EUR
* Financial bonus based on performance paid twice a year up to 10% from the base salary paid during the evaluation period (usually 6 months).
* The final basic wage component can be increased accordingly to individual skills and experience of the selected candidate.
