We are seeking a visionary and highly strategic Commercial IT & Digital Director to drive digital excellence and technology-enabled business transformation within our TH Commercial organization. This pivotal role demands a change agent who can accelerate digital innovation, redefine omnichannel engagement, and champion thought leadership across the commercial function, translating business needs into breakthrough outcomes for both patients and customers.
Key Accountabilities
In this role, you will act as a business catalyst and digital strategist, shaping the technological and digital landscape of the TH Commercial organization. You will partner cross-functionally with business leaders and stakeholders to deliver advanced, digitally superior, customer-centric solutions. Your leadership will unlock new models of value creation, operational agility, and omnichannel engagement in pursuit of commercial impact.
Business Partnering:
- Serve as a trusted, influential business partner to TH Commercial leadership, translating business objectives into technology and digital investments that drive revenue growth, customer acquisition, and deeper market engagement.
 - Act as the digital voice at the leadership table, proactively advising senior stakeholders on emerging technologies, omnichannel strategies, and data-driven opportunities.
 
Thought Leadership ,Stakeholder Management & Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Proactively engage and influence senior stakeholders across Commercial, Medical, Market Access, Regulatory, Finance, HR, Legal, and Compliance, fostering tight integration and shared accountability for digital initiatives and omnichannel effectiveness.
 - Drive a culture of business partnership, knowledge sharing, and strategic alignment, ensuring that digital solutions meet business needs while exceeding compliance and governance standards.
 - Be thought leader in IT / Digital strategy, business cases and implementation
 
Digital Vision & Omnichannel Strategy:
- Architect and execute a forward-thinking digital and IT roadmap fully aligned to commercial priorities, ensuring AstraZeneca TH remains ahead in digital transformation and customer connectivity.
 - Lead the design, implementation, and innovation of omnichannel customer journeys—integrating advanced CRM, digital attribution, and marketing technologies to optimize the engagement of HCPs, patients, and payers.
 
Digital Marketing Lighthouse:
- Establish TH as a digital marketing lighthouse, actively piloting next-generation international and global solutions, setting the benchmark for Asia Area, and shaping industry best practices in digital marketing, analytics, and attribution.
 - Champion AstraZeneca’s presence in regional and global digital thought leadership forums, representing TH as a first-mover in digital health, data-driven marketing, and innovative technology enablement.
 
Governance, Compliance & Financial Stewardship:
- Govern complex digital programs with best-in-class methodology, maintaining transparency, accountability, and alignment throughout execution to maximize business benefits.
 - Ensure rigorous compliance with global and local data privacy (PDPA, GDPR), cybersecurity, and governance requirements.
 - Deliver robust financial management of digital and IT budgets, optimizing resource deployment and vendor partnerships for sustainable growth.
 
Digital, Data & Analytics Leadership
- Provide strategic leadership on data, analytics, and dashboarding initiatives—enabling the organization to extract actionable insights that drive commercial outcomes.
 - Oversee the deployment and continuous improvement of advanced analytics, business intelligence platforms, and real-time dashboarding tools to support decision-making for commercial teams, enabling data-driven market strategies and superior performance tracking.
 
Innovation Ecosystem Engagement:
- Establish partnerships and co-creation initiatives with digital health startups, technology vendors, and local innovation hubs to unlock new opportunities, elevate commercial effectiveness, and accelerate adoption of transformative solutions.
 
Change Leadership & Adoption:
- Champion change management, organizational transformation, and stakeholder buy-in needed for digital adoption, elevating AstraZeneca’s digital readiness and commercial agility.
 
Asia Area & International Alignment:
- Drive consistency and synergy with International Region and Global IT & Digital teams, ensuring seamless integration with enterprise platforms while boldly advancing local market innovation.
 
Essential Skills & Experience
- Minimum 15+ years’ experience as a Commercial IT & Digital leader in the biopharmaceutical, healthcare, or life sciences industry.
 - Demonstrated success in strategically business partnering, driving digital transformation, and enabling omnichannel commercial engagement.
 - Track record of thought leadership in digital marketing, CRM, data analytics, and digital attribution, with measurable commercial impact.
 - Advanced stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills, influencing C-level stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams with clarity and conviction.
 - Proven experience in managing high-performing, agile digital teams to deliver business-aligned technology solutions.
 - Deep expertise in digital customer experience design, advanced analytics, and the orchestration of multichannel commercial programs.
 - High proficiency in financial management, vendor governance, compliance, and risk management frameworks in regulated industries.
 - Recognized participation in industry forums, networks, or thought leadership groups.
 - Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in IT, Computer Science, Business Administration or related field (MBA or equivalent preferred).
