Summary
The Test Technician I is responsible for building product and operating balance test fixtures and ensuring quality of products in our Ball bearing production line. In this role, you’ll work closely with the Ball bearing team to ensure that production targets are met and that products are assembled and tested to the highest quality standards. You’ll bring to the team your organization and self-started skills and your experience in applications and problem-solving skills to help us continue Win-with-our-customers.
Primary Responsibilities
- Supports completion of order test fulfillment and daily production scheduling as established by supervisor
- Performs inspections of products and properly identify non-conformances
- Completes tunning/calibration of systems to customer specifications
- Accountable for properly operating test equipment (oscilloscope, DMM)
- Proactively escalate potential issues identified in the assembly process to Principal Technician/Manufacturing Engineer
- Responsible for detecting and diagnosing basic malfunctions of galvos and servos
- Accountable for completing packaging of systems including printing labels and packaging
- Works collaboratively with team members to suggest and implement process improvement activities
- Supports 5S initiatives through cleanliness of workstations and other projects as needed
- Understands and interpret test results/plots, and basic failure modes
- Follows site requirements for disposal of recyclable materials and hazardous waste
Required Experience, Education, Skills, Training and Competencies
- High School diploma or its equivalent, or an Associate degree in Electrical Engineering/Technology, and/or related areas and/or minimum of 0-2 years working experience in manufacturing environment and/or as electronics technician
- Proven ability to read, understand, and adhere to work instructions, BOMs, and assembly drawings
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize, multitask and willingness to learn different testing requirements
- Team player with strong computer, written, verbal and skills
- Experience and practice of ESD and 5S principles
- Oscilloscope standing.
- Safety and chemical awareness
- Basic computer skills (MS Office, Oracle, etc.)
- Excellent attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
- Demonstrated experience safely and properly using hand tools
Preferred Qualifications
- Completion of electronic apprenticeship, electronics degree from a technical college
- Previous experience with opto-electronics and PCB commodities
- Knowledge of coated mirrors & lens

Compensation Information:
The salary for this role will range from 39,490 to 63,140 annually based on full-time employment. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including but not limited to location, relevant skills, training, experience, education, etc.
Certain roles may be eligible for performance-based incentive compensation and/or long-term incentives. Incentives could be discretionary or non-discretionary depending on the plan.
