Job Description:

We are looking for a Test Lab Manager to lead our Noise, Vibration, and Harshness (NVH) and Fatigue testing functions. The ideal candidate will be a strategic leader with functional management experience, a proven track record of completing multiple projects, and strong technical knowledge in engineering.
The role is responsible for all testing activities related to fatigue, vibration, and sound. The manager will lead a team of engineers and technicians and provide guidance to New Product Development (NPD) teams on test methods and execution. The position requires collaboration with various departments, including new product development, reliability engineering, and product management.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide leadership and direction to the department’s test functions.
Advise engineers on best practices for sound, vibration, and fatigue testing.
Lead team meetings, leadership discussions, and feedback sessions.
Proactively manage risk and provide solutions for test and department issues.
Manage day-to-day activities of both technical and non-technical team members.
Build and manage cross-functional relationships to support collaboration and test execution.
Provide direction and engineering expertise to ensure the successful and timely execution of test programs.
Serve as an expert resource for the organization and coach team members in industry best practices and engineering principles.
Leverage effective communication and agility to manage personnel dialogue, team discussions, and leadership meetings.
Provide test status and schedule updates to relevant stakeholders.
Required Qualifications:
A Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering.
A minimum of 7 years of engineering experience in related fields.
5 or more years of proven leadership experience managing engineering departments and new product development teams.
Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical principles.
Working design knowledge of various technologies associated with Milwaukee Tool products.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
Excellent communication skills, and strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical abilities.
Must be a hands-on self-starter who can thrive in a fast-paced environment.
