About the Role
This role involves interfacing with the Program Management and Product Engineering groups to ensure that all necessary qualification activities are included in the project plans and that all planned qualification activities are executed as required.
What You Will Do
Support the Design Verification Plan and Report (DVP&R) for the responsible products.
Interface with other Harman organizations to ensure all qualification issues are reported and resolved promptly.
Maintain and update reports, files, and test data as required.
Support and conduct a complete project of relatively limited scope or a portion of a larger, more diverse project.
Develop and prepare preliminary drawings or sketches showing proposed specifications, design characteristics, wiring diagrams, etc., and make recommendations for consideration and evaluation by the Manager.
Schedule testing activities for assigned projects, estimate required hours and record actual vs. estimated, assist with and resolve scheduling problems, and determine feasibility.
Work from detailed drawings, blueprints, diagrams, schematics, as well as verbal and written instructions.
Use multi-meter, o-scope, analyzers, digital analysis tools, machine tools, soldering equipment, and computers to design and document test setups.
Perform other tasks as business needs require or as assigned by management.
Coordinate with external test laboratories for test outsourcing.
What You Need to Be Successful

Minimum degree required: BSEE (Mechanical, Electrical, or Applied Sciences).
3-5 years of relevant engineering experience.
Proven ability to be flexible, prioritize, and manage multiple projects, and solve problems in a timely manner.
Knowledge of specific lab equipment, including data acquisition systems, oscilloscope, multi-meter, spectrum analyzer, digital analysis tools, machine tools, soldering equipment, and computers to design and document test apparatus.
Proven ability to communicate effectively and work with a small team of technicians to complete projects.
Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Bonus Points if You Have
Change Orientation, Collaboration, Judgment, Result Driven.
Prior work experience with audio components (speakers, amplifiers, head-units, etc.), understanding how they are designed, how they work, and interact with each other.
Experience in computer languages (C/C++, LabView/Windows, NI, etc.).
Knowledge of problem-solving techniques.
Prior experience working with a team of technicians.
Knowledge and understanding of quality systems (TS16949 and ISO17025).
