Montreal, Remote but will travel in Atlantic Canada

Manage service sales and customer relationships for our Research and Safety Division in Canada. Sell instrument services such as maintenance contracts and warranties, and promote Thermo Fisher Scientific in customer labs to fuel growth.

What will you do:

  • Meet or exceed a defined sales plan; forecast sales performance accurately
  • Develop and implement a territory plan to grow business within your assigned territory
  • Make daily outbound telephone calls and communicate via email to all interpersonal levels and functional areas in accounts where purchasing decisions are made.
  • Develop deep knowledge of service and support offerings to find new revenue opportunities in assigned accounts.
  • Develop coordination skills to collaborate with diverse teams, manage sales territory initiatives, and communicate progress across different organizational levels effectively.
  • Understand the competitive landscape within accounts to position like or better product offerings to customers.
  • Communicate key activities, market trends, and changing customer directions to the organization.
  • Apply data sources for analyzing and developing sales opportunities with the highest return on investment.
  • Support marketing programs as assigned by the National Service Sales Manager
  • Complete assigned tasks and reports promptly and thoroughly while improving efficiency during key selling time.

Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma or college diploma and sales experience is required, or a combination of post-secondary education with equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years previous inside sales experience preferred, excellent telephone skills and communications, and a high proficiency at sophisticated deals.
  • Digital literacy in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, or like programs required.
  • Bilingual in English and French
  • Travel (~50%) will be required for regular sales calls, sales meetings and company functions.
