The Technology Strategy and Transformation Cloud Implementation Director at U.S. Bank is responsible for overseeing Cloud program management and governance ensuring successful delivery of program priorities.
This individual will focus on Technology Transformation efforts and will collaborate with Technology and Enterprise leadership to set direction, drive organizational transformation, and drive Cloud implementation with a heavy focus on delivering results.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Deliver Cloud and Technology Transformation objectives
Define execution plans including program milestones and identifying and managing program risks and blockers
Monitor program execution to ensure adherence to timelines, quality standards, and budgetary constraints
Mitigate project and program risks through proactive identification and implementation of risk management strategies
Assist in accelerating delivery of business line priorities including revenue opportunities as appropriate
Lead strategic program oversight & governance
Lead the development and execution of cloud program governance frameworks across multi-cloud environments
Assist in operationalizing Day 2 operating model in partnership with Tech leadership
Support strategy for managing cloud concentration risk in collaboration with key partners
Partner with CIO organizations to enable targeted cloud benefits and value realization
Partner with risk teams to embed monitoring processes and metrics that meet regulatory and cybersecurity standards
Oversee program leadership & decision forums
Facilitate communication and reporting with leadership and stakeholders to provide updates on initiative progress including driving MC and Board updates
Facilitate senior leadership forums across key stakeholder groups including Engineering, Security, Risk, Architecture, and Finance to drive alignment and key decisions
Lead working team sessions with core leaders across Program, ISS, Risk, and Engineering to drive active decision-making and execution. This forum requires strong domain knowledge and leadership to be effective.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams across Technology, Risk, Security, and Business Lines to ensure alignment and obtain buy-in
Vendor & Financial Management
Oversee relationships with key Cloud , balancing support and negotiating terms as we shift to a dual-cloud model (~50/50 split).
Conduct monthly reviews of program financials, funding requests, and cost control opportunities with L4/L5 leaders in Program and Finance.
Support quarterly CIO meetings to review cloud allocations, resource utilization, migration outcomes, and strategic opportunities.
PREFERRED SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
MBA or equivalent work experience
10+ years of experience as a transformation lead, consultant, or similar role
Proven track record of driving complex and strategic initiatives and delivering measurable results
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to gather and interpret data to inform decision-making
Exceptional verbal and written presentation and communication skills.
Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire cross-functional teams and influence without authority
Ability to multitask, prioritize effectively, manage competing priorities, and comfortable working through ambiguity
Ability to work closely with colleagues at all levels, from senior business leaders to front line staff
Strong intellectual curiosity and demonstrated ability to learn new content
Courage to disagree, confidence to develop and defend strategic perspectives, and maturity to accept alternative decisions

Consulting experience in a major firm desired

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $193,035.00 - $227,100.00U.S. Bank will consider qualified applicants with arrest or conviction records for employment.
