The Technology Portfolio Manager at CoverMyMeds LLC is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the strategic alignment, delivery, and performance of a portfolio of technology initiatives, ensuring they contribute to the company's overall business objectives and drive innovation in healthcare.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Portfolio Strategy & Planning: Develop and maintain a comprehensive technology portfolio roadmap, aligning with CoverMyMeds' strategic goals and business priorities. Facilitate the prioritization and selection of new technology initiatives, considering resource availability, risk, and potential impact.

  • Program & Project Oversight: Provide high-level oversight and governance for all projects and programs within the assigned technology portfolio. Monitor progress, identify and mitigate risks, and ensure adherence to established methodologies and standards.

  • Stakeholder Communication & Management: Act as a primary liaison between technology teams, business stakeholders, and senior leadership. Communicate portfolio status, key decisions, risks, and benefits effectively to diverse audiences.

  • Resource Management: Collaborate with functional managers to ensure appropriate resource allocation and capacity planning across portfolio initiatives. Identify and address resource constraints and conflicts.

  • Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for the technology portfolio. Generate regular reports on portfolio health, progress, and value realization for executive review.

  • Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve portfolio management processes, tools, and best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Risk & Issue Management: Proactively identify, assess, and manage risks and issues across the technology portfolio, developing mitigation strategies and escalation plans.


Job Qualifications:

Education / Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred) or related experience, and typically requires 4+ years of experience in project management, program management, or portfolio management within a technology-focused environment..

  • 3+ years of experience specifically managing a technology portfolio, preferably in the healthcare or pharmaceutical industry.

  • Proven experience working with Agile and Waterfall methodologies.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and technology infrastructure concepts.

  • Familiarity with portfolio management tools and software (e.g., Jira, Planview, Clarity PPM).

Leadership & Communication:

  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively at all levels of the organization.

  • Demonstrated ability to present complex information clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Analytical & Problem-Solving:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.

  • Ability to think strategically and translate business objectives into actionable technology initiatives.

Certifications (Preferred):

  • PMP, PgMP, PfMP, or Agile certifications (e.g., SAFe, CSM).

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. Our Base Pay Range for this position

$87,400 - $145,600
