You could be involved in anything from front-end and back-end development to cloud engineering, data science, and digital platform delivery—contributing to the systems and services that power our business every day.    

You could get involved in teams such as Site Reliability Engineering, Innovation Teams, Data Science, Integrations, and Digital Products, as well as Software Development, Data Engineering, Cloud Platform Engineering, Digital Product Engineering, and Information/Cyber Security. These teams offer valuable experience and insight into the Technology world at Centrica, while helping you grow your technical knowledge and skillset.

No Technology experience? No problem. We’ve got plenty to go around and can’t wait to share it with you. You will be provided with an unparalleled level of support with access to buddies, mentors, and experienced line managers, as well as having a ready-made network of graduates across the business to tap into.

At Centrica, we believe face-to-face collaboration is key to making the most of your internship. While we support flexible working across the business, our Year in Industry interns are based full-time in our London Berkshire office to maximise learning, connection, and development. You’ll enjoy a dynamic and supportive experience – all while staying connected to our vibrant Centrica community. 

What we need from you:   

• We want you to count yourself in! We welcome people from all walks of life who bring fresh perspectives, live our values, and work in line with our core behaviours. If that sounds like you, here’s what we’re looking for: 

• Expecting a minimum 2:1 degree (2:2 if combined with a Masters) 

• Willing to relocate

• Have the right to work in the UK 

• Available to start on 29 September 2026 

Here’s what's in it for you: 

• Starting salary of £36,000 per annum

• Kickstart your journey with a £3,000 Welcome Bonus – paid with your first salary! 

• You’ll be eligible for our annual bonus scheme and a profit-based share incentive plan.
