Job Description:
Provides Tier 1 technical support to school staff and students, acting as a first-line of support for all hardware and software technical questions. Supports students and staff as they work with and use technology. Maintains computer and network equipment in operating condition; meeting the technology needs of the school; documents information and resolves immediate operational and/or safety concerns. Develops and promotes good community relations among various district and community clientele.
Minimum two years' experience required. Specialized technology training preferred.
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Frequent lifting five (5) to ten (10) pounds; occasional lifting twenty (20) to fifty (50) pounds
- Frequent sitting, bending, squatting, crouching, kneeling, crawling, standing, and walking
- Frequent use of hands, reaching, handling and fingering

Responsibilities:
Assess malfunctions of hardware for the purpose of determining appropriate actions to maintain computer and network operations.
Train selected personnel for the purpose of ensuring their ability to use new and/or existing software.
Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
Request quotes for the purpose of providing cost information, purchasing and securing items.
Transport a variety of items (e.g. equipment, supplies, etc.) for the purpose of providing materials at job site or transporting equipment for repair.
Repair computers, peripherals, network equipment and software, requiring specialized computer and electronics repair skills for the purpose of maintaining computer and network equipment in a safe and functional operating condition.
Prepare written materials (e.g. reports, memos, letters, etc.) for the purpose of documenting activities, providing written reference and/or conveying information.
Procure equipment, supplies and materials for the purpose of maintaining availability of required items and completing jobs efficiently.
Attend meetings as assigned for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information required to perform functions
Inspect computer and network equipment requiring specialized computer repair and trouble shooting skills for the purpose of identifying and verifying repair needs.
Assist other personnel for the purpose of supporting them in the completion of their work activities.
Coordinate with other staff for the purpose of completing projects/work orders efficiently.
