The opportunity
The Technology and Transformation IT manager will be responsible for the successful planning, execution, and delivery of IT programs within Hitachi Energy. This role requires a strategic leader who can manage multiple tasks simultaneously, ensure alignment with business objectives, and drive innovation to support our global energy solutions.
How you'll make an impact:
Define scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and key stakeholders.
Develop plans, including detailed timelines, resource allocation, risk management strategies, and communication plans.
Oversee and coordinate teams within the program, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure successful project execution.
Identify, assess, and mitigate program risks and issues, escalating to senior management as necessary and implementing effective solutions.
Establish and maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders, including business units, IT teams, and external vendors.
Communicate status, progress, and challenges regularly to stakeholders, including executive leadership.
Ensure adherence to company policies, IT standards, and regulatory requirements throughout the program lifecycle.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the program management framework and contribute to the evolution of best practices.
Champion change management efforts to ensure smooth adoption of new IT solutions and processes.
Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external & internal regulations, procedures & guidelines.
Your background:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in IT, with minimum 3 years of program management
Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, software development lifecycle, and enterprise applications.
Proficiency in program management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, Scrum) and relevant tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, MS Project).
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills,
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
Protectiveness and willingness to learn and act
Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
