Job Title : Technical Writer
Experience - 8-12 Yrs

Location: Pune

 

About the Role:
We are seeking a seasoned Technical Writer with a strong grasp of technical concepts, particularly in Big Data, Cloud Technologies, and Data Platforms. This role involves working closely with platform engineers to document Mastercard’s cloud data platforms, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with Platform Engineers to understand the architecture and implementation of Mastercard’s cloud data platforms.
• Translate complex technical information into clear, concise, and user-friendly documentation, including:
o Runbooks
o Business and technical documentation
o User manuals
o API documentation
o System architecture guides
o Process workflows
• Ensure all documentation aligns with regulatory and organizational standards.
• Structure content logically and visually using diagrams, flowcharts, and other visual aids.
• Develop and maintain internal knowledge bases, FAQs, and training materials.
• Continuously improve documentation based on feedback and evolving platform capabilities.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
• Minimum 7 years of experience in technical writing, preferably in enterprise technology environments.
• Strong understanding of Big Data, Cloud Infrastructure, and Data Platforms.
• Proven ability to work with engineering teams and translate technical jargon into accessible content.
• Proficiency in documentation tools (e.g., Confluence, Markdown, Visio, Lucidchart).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in creating visual content to support documentation (e.g., diagrams, flowcharts).
• Familiarity with regulatory compliance in documentation is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in the financial services or payments industry.
• Knowledge of Mastercard’s technology stack or similar enterprise platforms.
• Background in software development or systems engineering is a plus.
