About the role
Reporting to our Director, Product Documentation, the Technical Writer will be responsible for gaining a deep understanding of Bullhorn products and services, and translating complex information into straightforward, polished, engaging content for our customers, employees, and partners. Embedded within the product team, the Technical Writer will write user-friendly technical product documentation that meets the needs of our customers, partners, and internal team members, enabling them to be successful with our products.
A typical day will include...
Designing, writing, and editing product documentation, working closely with various departments, including Product, Customer Success, and Support, to understand learning requirements
Creating feature, procedural, and release documentation for diverse audiences.
Researching Jira, existing documentation, and interviewing SMEs to verify the accuracy of documentation before stakeholder approval
Collaborating with subject matter experts to identify documentation needs and design plans to meet those needs
Analyzing existing and potential content, focusing on reuse and single-sourcing opportunities
Responding to customer feedback on documentation to improve usability
Supporting documentation and information development tasks as needed by the business
This role is a fit for you if…
2-3 years of experience as an effective technical writer
You have experience with Authoring Management Systems such as MadCap Flare
You pride yourself on your ability to write for different audiences and follow a predetermined style guide, and have an interest in creating well-designed content that promotes an excellent customer experience
You are a good listener, can multitask, have excellent time management skills, and can work independently and handle ambiguity
You have experience providing technical documentation to either internal business teams or external audiences
You are detail-oriented, enjoy organizing information, and have strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Experience with prompt engineering for AI
Experience with the Bullhorn product suite, such as Bullhorn ATS/CRM, Bullhorn for Salesforce, Bullhorn Automation, or Bullhorn Workforce Management
The annual base salary range for this position is $50,000 - $65,000. In addition, this role is eligible for an annual target bonus & a comprehensive benefits package.
