JOB SUMMARY
The Technical Sourcing Manager will manage supplier selection process and part validation process for three major facets of Jabil’s needs: (1) Design, (2) NPI, (3) Risk/Cost Reduction. This position requires situational analysis to leverage Jabil’s Supply Chain and Sourcing organizations as well as Jabil’s tools, templates, and processes to ensure we are identifying, validating, and deploying components into Jabil’s supply base correctly. This role must shift and adapt quickly to changing project requirements and act with a sense of urgency. Support of multiple projects/customers and have indirect reports is possible.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
A Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Engineering or Supply Chain) with eight years or more of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Masters degree in Supply Chain Management is preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Advanced PC skills, with emphasis on Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Ability to read, analyze, interpret, and communicate regarding common scientific and/or technical journals. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information to Upper Management and external stakeholders; Ability to read and speak English. Ability to read and interpret 2D and 3D drawings and identify key information to manufacture a component such as following GD&T guidelines.
REASONING ABILITY
Strong problem solving, analytic, negotiation, project management and people skills are a must. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, summarize information and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to solve practical problems with limited information. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Ability to work effectively under pressure with constantly changing priorities and deadlines. Individual may be required to sit, stand, walk regularly and occasionally lift up to 15 lbs. Be accessible to production floor and office staff and to use required office equipment. Specific vision requirements include reading of written documents and use of computer monitor screen frequently. This job may require up to 30% travel.
