We have a fantastic opportunity for a Technical Services Powerplant Engineer to join the Airbus Atlas Support Centre UK based at RAF Brize Norton, Oxfordshire. This is a unique opportunity working for a hybrid organisation working directly with the Aircraft and the customer on an amazing facility.

Outstanding A400m specific training will be provided for those with a suitable engineering background in aviation.

Our contract with the MOD states we will provide a continuous service to cover 24 hours, 7 days a week and 365 days a year to the Royal Air Force, to maintain and ensure airworthiness of their fleet of aircraft at home and overseas.

Our services include both direct and indirect functions which all work together to provide the airworthiness total service – including maintenance planners; licensed line maintenance engineers; technical services including structures and systems specialists; facilities management; security;  and health and safety etc.

You will work closely with the customer’s MilCAM and MRP Part 145 Line Maintenance organisation on site and with the Airbus and other external EASA Part 145 base maintenance organizations, to ensure contractual targets and service levels are achieved.

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE TEAM

  • All technical aspects relating to the A400M Powerplant and APU Systems, the EPI TP400 Engine and the Ratier-Figeac FH385/FH386 Propeller Systems.

  • Investigating in-service reliability issues relating to A400M Powerplant and APU Systems, the EPI TP400 Engine and the Ratier-Figeac FH385/FH386 Propeller Systems in conjunction with the Reliability Engineer.

  • Developing A400M maintenance programme amendments, in conjunction with the OMP Engineer, to mitigate fleet reliability issues relating to A400M Powerplant and APU Systems, the EPI TP400 Engine and the Ratier-Figeac FH385/FH386 Propeller Systems.

  • Assessing technical documentation applicable to the A400M Powerplant and APU Systems, the EPI TP400 Engine and the Ratier-Figeac FH385/FH386 Propeller Systems issued by OEMs, the TC Holder and the Regulators.

  • Managing and recording modifications, damage and repairs relating to A400M Powerplant and APU Systems, the EPI TP400 Engine and the Ratier-Figeac FH385/FH386 Propeller Systems in conjunction with the Configuration Engineer.

  • Developing instructions to enable the EASA Part 145/MRP Part 145 organisations to perform the necessary inspections, repairs or modifications to the A400M fleet relating to the Powerplant and APU Systems, the EPI
    TP400 Engine and the Ratier-Figeac FH385/FH386 Propeller Systems

ABOUT YOU

  • Engineering degree or EASA Part 66 licence (Category B1), or equivalent technical qualification. Applicants who do not satisfy the qualifications, but can demonstrate adequate practical experience, may be considered.

  • You must be flexible to work on call 1 week per month approx. - this will be paid in addition to your annual salary
