The Role

We’re looking for an ACH Technical Project Manager to join our Payments Compliance and Operations team. If you’re the kind of person who can translate complex concepts into clear, actionable guidance, you’ll feel right at home here.

You’ll drive ACH projects during implementation and post-launch, getting into the details of money movement, including file formatting, data exchange, and risk management. You’ll collaborate closely with fintech clients and sponsor banks, guide them through requirements and testing, and help navigate issues with a sense of ownership and urgency.

If you enjoy untangling problems, connecting the dots between business and engineering, and ensuring financial systems run reliably at scale, this is a role where you can make a real impact.

What you will need:

  • 3+ years in banking or fintech with hands-on ACH payments experience.
  • Solid working knowledge of Nacha Operating Rules and payments compliance expectations.
  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to query data (e.g. SQL) to validate behavior, monitor activity, and investigate issues.
  • Proven project leadership experience — planning, communicating milestones, managing risk, and aligning cross-functional partners.
  • Ability to translate technical details into clear language for clients, internal teams, and banks.
  • Comfortable troubleshooting ambiguous issues and driving resolution across engineering, risk, and banking partners.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; AAP or APRP very desirable.

What you will do:

  • Lead full-cycle ACH implementations: requirements gathering, solution design, configuration, testing, and readiness for launch.
  • Work directly with fintech clients and sponsor banks to ensure alignment, clarity of expectations, and smooth onboarding.
  • Investigate and resolve production issues with urgency and composure, especially in escalated scenarios involving high-value or time-critical payments.
  • Write SQL queries, search API logs, and read ACH files to validate behavior, detect anomalies, support reconciliation, and inform root-cause analysis.
  • Own project planning, documentation, status updates, risk tracking, and cross-team coordination.
  • Support Nacha audits, risk assessments, and compliance documentation.
  • Partner with internal teams including Technical Operations, Product, Engineering, Implementation Services, Support, and Relationship Management to improve processes, manage change, and ensure new features and payment flows meet regulatory and operational requirements.
  • Maintain clear documentation — including the Payments Risk Management Policy, runbooks, configuration notes, and data flows — to ensure processes remain transparent and repeatable.
