In this role, you’ll coordinate technical production elements, support international broadcasters, and ensure seamless distribution on matchdays. You’ll work closely with technical managers, floor managers, and EVS teams to keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Client Relations/Liaison
Act as a technical point of contact for our client (The Premier League), assisting with technical advice as required.
Act as a technical point of contact for our International Broadcasters, assisting with technical advice to provide a best-in-class service.
Act as a technical point of contact for The Premier League’s Host Broadcasters, ensuring that Premier League Productions onsite activities are achieved successfully whilst working around Host Broadcaster operations.
Ensure a clear exchange of information between PLP and relevant stakeholders (Premier League, suppliers, Host Broadcasters, IMG Studios) allowing services to operate effectively and efficiently.
Technical
Point of support for our Onsite Production Management team on any technical matters.
Lead first-line incident management for live broadcasts, including rapid triage, prioritisation and escalation of technical issues.
Produce clear post-event incident reports and contribute to root cause analysis and continuous improvement actions.
Maintain and update technical documentation, workflows and standard operating procedures for Premier League Productions operations.
Support testing, commissioning and acceptance of new technical workflows, equipment and services prior to live deployment.
Whilst onsite, act as the main technical point of contact for Premier League Production operations, managing our suppliers and all technical aspects onsite.
Whilst onsite, oversee and monitor the technical quality and delivery of Premier League Productions operations.
Act as a liaison between Production and suppliers when addressing and resolving any on-site technical operational issues.
Document and communicate both technical and operational issues when onsite to the Technical Engineering Manager.
Assist the Technical Engineering Manager with any fault resolutions/ mitigation plans.
Liaise with broadcasters regarding any technical or operational issues and provide support as necessary.
Working in conjunction with the Technical Engineering Manager; research, identify and evaluate innovations within broadcasting that will enhance Premier League Productions value offerings to stakeholders.
You may also be required to carry out any other duties, which are within the scope of the role.
Organisational
Assist the Technical Engineering Manager with booking Technical Producers.
Working in conjunction with our onsite Floor Managers, ensure that our International
Broadcasters receive their multilateral and unilateral hits at the specified time without technical issue.
Assisting our EVS Manager with planning and co-ordinating ingest of feeds into our EVS servers on matchdays.
Working inside our Distribution team to ensure documentation is sent out in a timely and correct manner to stakeholders.
Provide Distribution helpdesk cover when necessary, co-ordinating all match day contribution and distribution elements.
Health and Safety
Whilst onsite, assume overall responsibility for Premier League Productions associated technical production health & safety matters (to be managed in conjunction with the onsite production manager and facilities providers). Training and relevant courses will be provided and mandatory.
Industry
Keep up to date with present trends in broadcasting.

Provide creative solutions to technical challenges under pressure.
Basic Programming – PHP, SQL, HTML.
Understanding of cloud-based architecture.
Strong incident management skills, with the ability to prioritise and make decisions quickly in a live environment.
High attention to detail, particularly around scheduling, routing and documentation.
Ability to translate complex technical issues into clear, non-technical language for production and stakeholders.
Experience working with ticketing or workflow tools (e.g. Jira, ServiceNow or similar) is desirable.
Comfortable reading and interpreting technical diagrams (signal flows, network topologies, rack layouts).
Qualifications and Training:
Relevant Broadcast Engineering qualification or relevant industry experience.
Production Health and Safety trained.
Knowledge and Experience:
Good knowledge of TV production process.
Strong understanding/knowledge of IT.
Working Conditions:
The work location is Stockley Park, Uxbridge
This is a Fixed Term Contract until May 2025
Weekend working and unsocial hours.
Travel to national outside broadcasts will be necessary.
Working over the Christmas period and Bank Holidays.
