Technical Officer

To provide support in maintaining and improving the PD laboratories amenities, test system and equipment. The Technical Officer will provide technical and testing support to the stakeholders across the Product Development.

The Global PD Support team facilitates and promotes both ResMed’s Sydney and Singapore laboratory operations. The team supports the ResMed Product Design process by ensuring that the test system/equipment is in effectual ready-to-use status and to execute tests in accordance with Regulatory and Quality System Requirements.


Let’s talk about Responsibilities

  • Ensure equipment is purchased, maintained, calibrated, tracked and the equipment database is kept up to date in accordance with the Quality System requirements.

  • Ensure the chemical management is up to date and database is kept up to date in accordance with Quality System requirements.

  •  Maintain the amenity and test bench of the laboratories.

  • Perform test system set up, debugging and upgrade. 

  • Prepare the laboratories for audits and CTF activities.

  • Perform various documentation as per QMS requirement such as Safety Risk Assessment (SRA), Impact Assessment Report (IAR), plant manual and CAPA. 

  • Provide support to laboratory induction and its workflow process

  • Perform exploratory and investigative testing as per Engineers defined requirement.

  • Perform product verification and validation testing.

  • Perform report documentation as per QMS.  

  • Provide support on DUT/Test sample life cycle management.

  • Support Engineers in preparing prototypes for testing, includes assembly and tuning if necessary. 

  • Support Engineers in the early phases of development planning and performing exploratory testing on DUTs/prototypes.

  • Tools and Automation Support

  •  Perform test system, equipment and tools development assemblies and upgrade if necessary.

  •  Provide support during commissioning, qualification of test system or equipment under tools development.

  • Perform report documentation as per QMS.  

  • Provide deployment support of developed test system/equipment released by Test Automation team.

  • Business Infrastructure Support

  • Provide support to laboratory amenities, test system and equipment improvement.

  • Participate in business and departmental initiatives.

  • Provide training and mentoring of Assistant TO.


Let’s talk about Qualifications and Experience

Required:

  • Tertiary qualifications (Polytechnic or TAFE) Diploma in Engineering or Science with 3 - 4 yrs. in an applicable electrical / electronic, software, mechanical or mechatronic field/Degree fresh graduate is welcome with preferred training experience in a product design/ manufacturing/laboratory environment as per their respective discipline.

  • Experienced in troubleshooting and the repair of electronic and mechanical equipment

  • Experienced in debugging equipment & test systems

  • Experienced in WSH & Risk Management.

  • MS Windows literate.


Preferred:

  • Experience with CAD or programming or digital software literate
