The Technical Account Manager (TAM) serves as a trusted strategic partner for Availity’s most complex and high-value payer clients. This role owns the end-to-end relationship for a high-profile account, driving business outcomes through proactive engagement, cross-functional coordination, and deep product and technical expertise.

The TAM ensures that client needs are met with operational excellence, bridging business objectives with Availity’s technical capabilities—and is accountable for client satisfaction, retention, and growth.

To be qualified for this position you:

  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Have 3+ years of client-facing experience in Technical or Non-Technical Account Management, Client Services, or Program Management within healthcare, SaaS, or technology industries.
  • Demonstrate success managing enterprise or strategic accounts with complex technical and operational needs.
  • Understand software delivery lifecycles, integration processes, and data exchange (EDI, APIs, etc.).
  • Possess excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills with an executive presence.

You will set yourself apart with:

  • Experience in healthcare technology or payer/provider space.
  • Familiarity with Agile delivery practices and enterprise release management.

You will be:

  • Serving as the primary point of contact for an enterprise-level payer client, building trusted relationships with technical and business stakeholders.
  • Leading executive business reviews and governance meetings to align on performance and strategic initiatives.
  • Translating client goals into actionable plans across delivery, engineering, and product teams.
  • Owning the delivery of projects, enhancements, and incident resolution for assigned accounts.
  • Partnering with internal teams to monitor release schedules, dependencies, and risks.
