At Worldwide Safety Assurance, risk identification and reduction are key to the success of our mission. Now is your chance to join the Auditing Center of Excellence as a Manager and deliver unparalleled expertise, innovation, and support. This role will partner and visit with our sites around the world to ensure compliance with safety critical processes, provide leadership with the source of truth, and collaborate on resolutions when gaps are found.
As a Manager, you will provide strategic direction, daily oversight, collaborate with our partners to develop innovative solutions to critical safety enhancements, and provide leadership to the Tier-III technical auditing team.
You will report to Senior Manager -Worldwide Safety Assurance Global Auditing
This is a Full-Time Role.
On any given day as a Team Leader, you might:
Maintain our mission to be the eyes of the site leadership worldwide, monitoring for risk and being a trusted partner who is objective and credible.
Assist Worldwide Safety & Disney Experiences Leadership in high quality execution of the annual audit plan.
Perform audit planning activities such as the development of risk and control matrices, data analytics within key processes, drafting of key communications and preparation of document request lists.
Execute fieldwork by performing audit testing through inquiry, data analyses, observation, and documenting results in working papers.
Prioritize audit procedures by thinking strategically and understanding business processes within the broader context of the Company operations.
Formulate well-written, concise, and clear audit findings and develop audit reports.
Identify the impact of audit findings on safety, the operation, and recommend solutions.
Identify innovative ways to assist sites with providing a culture of safety to our Guests and Cast Members.
Promote Performance Alignment and Critical Process Verification as the foundation to achieve operational excellence.
Create new ways to identify emerging risks and investigate industry incidents.
Build effective relationships and work closely with audit stakeholders across all business units within the segment.
Assist partners with the development, maintenance, and evolution of internal audit programs.
Leverage data and technology to improve auditing, find new risks, streamline processes, and increase collaboration.
Keep a pulse on safety related trends to drive future improvements.
Provide continuous communication to direct leaders and global leaders.
Here’s what you need to be successful at this job:
7+ years of experience in Engineering or Maintenance organizations.
Experience with Disney and industry safety-related standards, regulations, policies, and practices.
Proven ability to communicate within all levels of our organization, including briefing executive management and operating teams.
Excellent presentation skills and the ability to translate technical details for a non-technical executive audience.
Experience gaining consensus and leading improvements in a positive and collaborative manner.
Ability to motivate and lead professional teams attuned to an organizational culture of excellence.
Ability to travel worldwide, leading the auditing team on a variety of missions.
Leadership experience establishing and/or monitoring the health of safety critical processes and requirements.
Understanding of different cultures and methods among other Disney lines of businesses such as Entertainment, Walt Disney Imagineering, Maintenance and Engineering Services.
Core understanding of the Performance Alignment Model and auditing.
Proficiency with Smartsheet’s reporting and dashboard capabilities.
Bachelor's Degree
Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Engineering - Preferred
Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) -Preferred
The position may be based in California or Florida, adhering to the office requirements and regulations specific to Disney Requirements.
The hiring range for this position in California is $126,800 to $170000 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.Job Posting Segment:
