Team Lead Assembler - Wing Build-Up

Boeing Commercial Airplanes is seeking a Team Lead Assembler (Level C) to join the Wing Build-Up Team working in North Charleston, South Carolina on 2nd shift!

Primary Responsibilities:   

  • Performs complex production assembly operations on structural parts, mechanical assemblies, sub-assemblies and aircraft systems, equipment and accessories using manual or automated assembly tools.

  • Builds effective resource plans.

  • Identifies and communicates risks to First Line Leader.

  • Updates and communicates BPS metrics.

  • Identifies KPI improvement actions.

  • Assigns daily work.

  • Leads team in daily safety check-in.

  • Monitors and reports daily progress to plan.

  • Works with support organizations and First Line Leader to mitigate performance risk.

  • Documents and communicates shift turnover.

  • Establishes overtime requirements and staffing.

  • Responsible for monitor and control of 5S.

  • Utilizes Rapid Problem Solving (RPS) and coordinates with Line Side Control Center (LSCC) to address issues.

  • Creates standardized work instructions.

  • Support teammates to improve their job performance including identifying training.

  • Responsible for BPS process improvements.

  • Leads Kamishibai audits and Gemba walks.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

  • Able to work 2nd shift.

  • 3+ years of experience in aerospace, fabrication, or manufacturing.

  • 3+ years of experience leading teams informal/formal

  • 1+ years of experience with the operations process involving the 787 airplane program.

Summary pay range: $61,200 - $64,500​
