Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Tax Professional to join our team and manage complex federal and state tax matters within the renewable energy sector. This role will serve as a key advisor on tax issues, ensuring compliance with tax regulations and renewable energy incentives while supporting internal teams and collaborating with external advisors. Responsibilities include preparing and reviewing tax filings, overseeing quarterly tax provisions, conducting technical research, and maintaining robust internal controls. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and project management skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proven track record in corporate or partnership taxation.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with advisors on preparation, review and filing of federal, state and local tax returns, including partnership, corporate and indirect tax filings.
Serve as a key contact for internal teams, offering guidance and overseeing external advisory on a wide range of federal and state tax matters.
Conduct technical research and prepare documentation to ensure compliance with renewable energy tax incentives and credits.
Review quarterly tax provision calculations and ensure timely completion of internal tax reporting and compliance processes.
Assist in developing efficient and effective processes for the tax department and maintain robust internal controls.
Support tax audits by responding to document requests and contributing to audit strategy and resolution.
Monitor legislative and regulatory developments at the federal and state level.
Requirements/Qualifications:
Prior work experience in the renewable sector or experience with complex partnership taxation is preferred.
Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Strong analytical and project management skills.
Ability to multitask and remain flexible in a fast and dynamic work environment.
Must be authorized to work in the US for any US employer.
Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field. CPA and/or Master’s in Taxation preferred. CPA preferred.
5-10 years of relevant tax experience, preferably in Big 4 or in-house corporate tax roles
Prior experience in renewable energy or complex partnership taxation is a plus.
Strong collaboration, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
