Raytheon’s Systems Engineering & Test Capabilities directorate is seeking a Systems Engineer II who will support hardware/software integration and activities for the family of Patriot programs supporting development and fielded Patriot equipment within the Andover based Patriot Labs.

What You Will Do

  • Contribute to successful technical execution of complex integration and test events.
  • Perform daily testing execution and troubleshooting efforts within an engineering laboratory environment.
  • Utilizing working knowledge of software programming to support complex software and hardware integration testing and troubleshooting efforts.
  • Develop expertise in program hardware and software interfaces.
  • Interact, on a technical level, with team members from different engineering disciplines (HW, SW, Mechanical, Systems Integration and Test, etc.).
  • Support continuous improvement process by identifying and troubleshooting issues with software and hardware, and clearly documenting all actions and steps taken.
  • Utilize your working knowledge of Linux/UNIX to troubleshoot and configure assets to meet customer needs.
  • Ability to travel domestically 10%, to White Sands Missile Range.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Experience with C/C++, LabVIEW, Python, and/or FORTRAN 77.
  • Experience with Linux and/or UNIX.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience identifying and troubleshooting issues with hardware, and clearly documenting all actions and steps taken.
  • Experience with radar systems or complex military systems.
  • Excellent communications skills, verbal, and written.
  • Experience with instrumentation and/or test equipment, i.e (oscilloscope, multi-meter and/or spectrum analyzer).

The salary range for this role is 66,000 USD - 130,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
