Job Overview:
Harbinger Motors is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Systems Administrator to join our team. This role is crucial for ensuring the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the in-house IT infrastructure that supports our engineering, manufacturing, and corporate operations. The ideal candidate has a strong background in managing complex hybrid IT environments and is passionate about supporting a mission-driven company that's electrifying the future of transport.

What You'll Do:

Infrastructure Management

  • Own and administer Google Workspace, ensuring reliable identity, email, and collaboration services.
  • Manage JumpCloud for directory services, device management, SSO, and fleet-wide configuration.
  • Maintain Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence) including permissions, workflows, and integrations.
  • Oversee Slack workspace configuration, app governance, and lifecycle management.
  • Manage company hardware: macOS, Windows, Ubuntu, and mobile fleets.
  • Support and maintain Neat devices and Zoom Rooms, keeping meetings running smoothly and preventing A/V meltdowns.
  • Ensure scalable, well-documented infrastructure across SaaS, endpoints, and collaboration tools.

Security & Compliance

  • Implement and maintain endpoint protection, patch management, and vulnerability scanning across macOS, Windows, Ubuntu, and mobile fleets.
  • Centralize and standardize identity across the company by consolidating login methods into JumpCloud as the primary IdP, including full rollout of IAM, SSO, and SCIM provisioning.
  • Design, enforce, and maintain security policies on devices, SaaS platforms, and internal systems to ensure compliance and reduce organizational risk.
  • Manage user lifecycle processes with tightly controlled access, least-privilege principles, and automated provisioning/deprovisioning wherever possible.
  • Partner with security teams to identify, prioritize, and remediate vulnerabilities
  • Maintain logs, configurations, and documentation in a clean, audit-ready state

Support & Operations

  • Serve as an escalation point for T2/T3 issues
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, identity, and network issues with clarity and speed.
  • Maintain and publish SOPs, runbooks, and documentation that people can actually follow.
  • Support office and remote collaboration tools, including Zoom Rooms and Neat equipment.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with end users

Projects & Improvement

  • Lead migrations, upgrades, and cross-platform integrations.
  • Identify opportunities to improve workflows, automate repetitive tasks, and reduce operational drag.
  • Standardize processes and develop sustainable long-term solutions instead of quick duct-tape fixes.
  • Evaluate new tools and technologies that improve reliability, security, and employee experience.

What You'll Need:

  • 4+ years of experience as a Systems Administrator
  • Hands-on experience administering Google Workspace, JumpCloud, Atlassian, and Slack.
  • Deep technical knowledge of macOS, Windows, and Ubuntu environments.
  • Experience with endpoint security, EDR, MDM, patching tools, and vulnerability scanners.
  • Proven ability to manage access controls, identities, and device compliance.
  • Experience supporting Zoom Rooms or similar A/V setups.
  • Ability to write clean, complete documentation.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to explain tech to non-tech people without pain.

Preferred Qualifications:
