Leidos is hiring a System and Capabilities Integration (SCI) Manager to support the Air Force National Capital Region (AFNCR) Information Technology Services program at Joint Base Andrews, MD. The successful candidate will assist the Government staff by engaging a broad range of strategic senior Air Force leaders to build a transition roadmap and coordinate solutions for critical process and system challenges.

The Defense Systems Sector develops and produces advanced space, aerial, surface, and sub-surface manned and un-manned defense systems.

Primary Tasks:

  • Lead a team of Leidos employees and sub-contractors in MAJCOM Solutions Management, Test, Development and Engineering (TDE), Operations Fusion Team (OFT) in addition to being the primary Strategic Outreach coordinator. 
  • Foster an environment of employee growth and development, promoting continuous learning and providing opportunities for skill enhancement.
  • Assist and collaborate with the Strategic Operations Manager and Current Ops Manager ensure proper ingestion of downward directive initiatives while flatting the operations and maintenance across the main operating bases and associated units.
  • Establish regular, recurring synchronization meetings with higher headquarters and other strategic Air Force Network Operations units.
  • In collaboration with AFDW/A6, develop strategies to ensure Air Force National Capital Region (AFNCR) users have necessary information technology tools to meet operational requirements.
  • Represent AFDW in Enterprise strategic initiative meetings and forums, advocating for AFNCR requirements and priorities while building a local roadmap. 
  • Develop and review strategic communications impacting new, changing, or degraded services. 
  • Build trend analysis products and develop plans and projects to address systemic service challenges across all operational areas: process / workflows, system uptime / resiliency, command and control, etc.
  • Works with units and organizations external to the Air Force District of Washington (AFDW) to test interoperability and integration for new or changed IT services.
  • Ensure systems integration across the AFDW through technical interoperability testing.
  • Coordinate with AFDW A6 on enterprise IT solutions and how to integrate them into AFDW operations.
  • Guide root cause analysis and solution determination for major incident responses as follow-up actions to the initial mitigation from the Cyber Support Center.
  • Lead Enterprise initiative transitions into the AFNCR, coordinating with higher-level organizations such as the Cyberspace Capabilities Center, Air Force Lifecycle Management Center, and Chief Information Office.
  • Assist senior stakeholders in developing business analytics reports and senior leader briefs on AFNCR ITS mission execution.

Successful candidates must possess the following skills: 

  • A bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of experience; or a master's degree with 6+ years of experience. Additional years of experience may be used in lieu of degree.
  • Possess a current, DoD Secret clearance.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Foundations certification.
  • DoD 8140-compliant.
  • Requires a minimum of six years of experience supervising and managing IT professionals within a DoD environment.
  • Prior experience working with Air Force Enterprise IT organizations (688 CW, AMAC, HQ CCC, AFLCMC, etc).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience working in the National Capital Region and familiarity with the Headquarters Air Force staff organization.
  • Prior experience working in and building briefs for an Air Force staff organization or Commander’s Action Group (CAG).
  • Continuous Process Improvement certification or executive course.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $126,100.00 - $227,950.00
