System Administrator (TS/SCI Cleared)
Location: Onsite – Chantilly, VA
Clearance: Active TS/SCI required
Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated System Administrator with an active TS/SCI security clearance to support mission-critical systems in a secure, onsite environment in Chantilly, VA. The ideal candidate brings at least 1+ year of hands-on system administration experience, preferably working with Linux-based systems, along with exposure to Azure (preferred) or AWS cloud environments. This role supports daily operations, system optimization, troubleshooting, and maintenance within a high-security federal setting.
Key Responsibilities
Provide day-to-day system administration, monitoring, configuration, and maintenance of Linux (preferred) and/or Windows systems.
Support cloud-integrated environments, with a preference for Azure, or alternatively AWS.
Perform patching, updates, backups, and system health checks in accordance with security requirements.
Troubleshoot system, network, and application issues, escalating when needed.
Maintain system documentation, architecture diagrams, and operational procedures.
Ensure compliance with security policies, STIGs, and accreditation requirements.
Collaborate with engineering, cybersecurity, and operations teams to support mission systems.
Support user access management, permissions, and account provisioning.
Participate in on-call or after-hours support as required for mission needs.
Required Qualifications
Active TS/SCI clearance (CI Poly preferred or willingness to obtain).
1+ year of professional system administration experience.
Experience with Linux administration (Ubuntu, RHEL, CentOS, etc. preferred).
Exposure to or hands-on experience with Azure (preferred) or AWS cloud environments.
Experience with system monitoring, scripts, logs, and general troubleshooting.
Understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP).
Ability to work fully onsite in Chantilly, VA.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a federal, DoD, or intelligence community environment.
Familiarity with virtualization technologies (VMware, KVM, Hyper-V).
Experience applying security compliance standards (STIGs, RMF, DISA).
Scripting knowledge (Bash, PowerShell, Python).
Linux or Cloud certifications (CompTIA Linux+, RHCSA, Azure Administrator, AWS Solutions Architect Associate, etc.).
