MISSION

The System Administrator I - Workday reports to the Director of Business Applications and is responsible for ensuring stability, accuracy, and continuous improvement of our Workday platform across all modules. This role balances day-to-day administration with strategic enhancements, ensuring Workday evolves with organizational needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide day-to-day support and administration across all Workday modules (HCM, Payroll, Benefits, Absence, Time Tracking, Compensation, Recruiting, Security, Reporting, Finance, etc.)

  • Help maintain detailed governance documentation for the Alegeus Workday tenant that outlines roles and responsibilities, data and security policies, and support procedures

  • Perform day-to-day administration tasks as assigned, such as:

  • Test configuration changes in our testing environments for existing modules or features

  • Create, update, and decommission user accounts

  • Maintain permissions, roles, and profiles

  • Create new reports

  • Assist with monitoring and troubleshooting inbound and outbound integrations between Workday and other systems

  • Follow standard operating procedure documentation and be able to transfer knowledge and responsibilities to team members during absences

  • Assist in updating existing business processes to support HCM, finance, or other departments

  • Optimize and automate reporting processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual efforts

  • Stay current with Workday releases and functionality to recommend and implement system/reporting enhancements

  • Provide training and support to end-users on reporting tools and dashboards

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • 1-3 years’ experience in supporting a Workday tenant

  • Familiarity with ticketing systems for tracking tasks and support cases

  • Experience writing and maintaining system documentation and standard operating procedures

  • Experience with Workday business processes, security, and reporting is required
