Job Brief:
Supports the service delivery of the information and technology (IT) services and working with teams within Group Technology together with establishing relationships with staffs within the bank, other entities within the group and external parties/vendors, to provide services with a high degree of commitment and timeliness in meeting established performance standards and user satisfaction.
The incumbent shall ensure that staffs/users benefit from his/her expertise through the services, advices and recommendation. The System Administrator’s primary responsibility is to manage and maintain Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM), formerly known as SCCM towards software deployments, patches and asset inventory. The incumbent must at all times be helpful, courteous and tactful when dealing with the system. To also be able to assist GT-Infrastructure & Operations in day to day operations. The candidate must be of at least 2-3 years’ experience in IT System Administration Support.
Responsibilities:
1. System Management & Software Deployment
o Manage the setup, configuration, and maintenance of Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager.
o Deploy software packages, updates, and patches to Windows endpoints.
o Schedule and monitor deployments to ensure successful delivery and minimal user disruption.
2. Endpoint Compliance & Security o Ensure endpoints are compliant with internal IT policies and regulatory standards.
o Implement baseline configurations, security updates, and health checks.
o Support antivirus and endpoint protection integration with MECM.
3. Troubleshooting & Performance Monitoring
o Monitor MECM performance and resolve issues related to deployment failures, reporting, or client communication.
o Troubleshoot software installation errors, update rollouts, and connectivity issues.
o Collaborate with other IT teams to resolve cross-platform and infrastructure-related problems.
4. Scripting & Automation o Use PowerShell scripts to automate routine MECM tasks, reporting, and system checks.
o Assist in developing task sequences for OS deployment and application installations.
o Contribute to improving operational efficiency through automation and scripting best practices.
5. Documentation & Collaboration
o Maintain documentation of MECM configurations, deployment processes, and procedures.
o Work closely with security, infrastructure, and service desk teams to support end-user environments.
o Provide technical support for MECM-related issues in both production and test environments.
Requirements:
Essential:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
2. 1–2 years of hands-on experience in IT system administration.
3. Experience in endpoint management platforms.
4. Good verbal, written communication skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
5. Strong problem-solving skills, detail oriented, proactive and eagerness to learn.
6. Able to follow clear processes in secure regulated environments.
Desirable:
1. Exposure to Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM/SCCM).
2. Experience with SQL queries for reporting and data extraction.
3. Basic PowerShell scripting for automation and troubleshooting tasks.
4. Exposure to cloud-based endpoint tools like Intune or Microsoft Endpoint Manager.
