We are an automotive supplier, partner to all automakers worldwide. Since 2013 we have been developing in our Prague R&D Center advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) for smarter cars. Valeo is a leading supplier of components and systems for the world's automakers. In our R&D (Research & Development) Center in Prague we develop Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) for intelligent cars.


 

We are looking for a Software Design Engineer, who will participate in the development of software for Driving Assistance System (Automatic Emergency Break, Intersection Assist, Traffic Jam Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control, Automated Parking, ...)


 

YOUR CHALLENGES?
 

  • Review customer and internal requirements and translate them into software design

  • Develop robust software architecture and components following Valeo processes and standards

  • Support integration, simulation, and validation activities

  • Perform design analyses, including worst-case and statistical evaluations

  • Contribute to technical reviews and collaborate with suppliers

  • Follow standardization rules and design guidelines

  • Report task progress and escalate risks proactively



 

LET'S TALK ABOUT YOU...

  • University degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, or a related field

  • Strong programming skills in C (C++), ideally for 16-/32-bit microcontrollers; knowledge of MISRA C is a plus

  • Experience working with automotive bus systems (CAN, FlexRay)

  • Solid understanding of quality-driven engineering and software development processes (ASPICE)

  • Hands-on experience with version control and change management tools

  • Experience with requirements engineering and design tools

  • Knowledge of AUTOSAR is an advantage

  • High level of innovation, curiosity, and problem-solving mindset

  • Category B driver’s license

  • Willingness to travel when required
