We’re looking for a VP, Global Technical Product Manager to join the Equifax Technology team. As a Technical Product Manager at Equifax, you will provide the technical thought leadership to the product team, bridging the gap between idea and development, advancing technologies/concepts and seeking cross business unit collaboration on solutions. You will develop a formal global platform product roadmap that will allow for teams to reuse services across the business units to expedite speed to delivery.

You will partner with your peers across Equifax to help define product strategy, working closely with business partners, engineering leaders and data & analytics leaders. You will be responsible for clearly setting the product prioritization with a balance of near-term deliverables and longer-term investment in technology platforms. You will partner with corporate development to assess M&A opportunities to ensure they are a strategic fit across Equifax’s product offerings and develop plans on how they integrate within the technology stack.

You will also regularly assess risks, anticipate bottlenecks, manage escalations and make trade-offs stabilizing product needs against constraints. Your passion, drive and intellect will inspire thoughtful behavior that maximizes value for customers and benefit to greater enterprise.

In this position, you will play a lead role in transforming the global product platform team within our different business units. You will have strong collaborative skills and influence, have strong technical skills, work effectively in a matrix organization, and overall be able to successfully partner across various teams of your product delivery value stream.

What You’ll Do

  • Industry Capability Assessment: Provide thought leadership and oversight for overall Market Opportunity Assessment (Stakeholdering) at the BU level as well as across BUs and with Global teams; Use deep knowledge of market and internal customer needs to influence capability level innovation at the BU level as well as across Bus and with Global teams; Evaluate priority and importance of customer needs relative to the value associated with addressing them; Collaborates with his team, Equifax as a whole and the industry to Anticipate, identify, articulate and define high-potential opportunities; Provides ongoing oversight of capabilities assessment  with internal and external stakeholders (voice of customer, customer advisory boards, etc.) to ensure maintained competitive advantage

  • Product Vision and Strategy: Provide inputs for Product line and BU strategy and planning sessions specially around identifying big bet opportunities driven by new product capabilities as well as delivery feasibility of big bets; Drive strategy alignment its socialization across product lines and identifies opportunities for synergies within the BU and across EFX at large; Articulate the vision and strategy of their product/product line they are responsible for in alignment with the larger strategy and vision of the BU/EFX so that more junior members in product and across teams understand how their role fits; Provides leadership so that their team can drive innovation bringing up new problems, encouraging new ways to solve existing problems, and valuing learning; Define and establish objectives and track and manage multiple products through Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) that can connect Product line, with BU and EFX goals

  • Product Definition and Planning: Influence market opportunity assessment (stakeholdering) through deep understanding of industry needs; Partner with key internal stakeholders to validate strategy and articulate their current and future needs; Participate in internal and external engagements, demonstrating strong knowledge of market opportunities for capability development; Support leaders in driving prioritization and execution of high potential opportunities 

  • Product Delivery and Launch: Oversee product definition of all portfolios within purview to ensure portfolio success; Drive definition and documentation of the product vision as the champion of product vision and strategy across executive and all internal / external stakeholders

  • Growth and Portfolio Management: Establish the vision and strategy for the product portfolios and communicate that vision and strategy across the organization; Design and refine business case approach, product roadmap development, and other processes; Design objectives through Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for team and hold accountable subordinate managers to design of objectives leveraging KPIs; Drive Build, Buy, Partner approach and decisions for the products, product lines, & product portfolios within purview

  • People Leadership: Drive and manage the performance of product leaders, providing coaching, development and mentoring to ensure their successful leadership of the product managers; Set clear expectations for effective talent management and hold subordinate managers accountable for goal-setting, honest employee evaluations, and the incorporation of actionable development plans; Drives in the evaluation of delivery alternatives including build, buy and partner; Drives the process of identifying dependencies and synergies for the delivery plan and partners with teams to align timelines

Experience you will need

  • Bachelor's degree and 15+ years of product management experience; Master’s Degree preferred

  • More than 15 years of related product management experience in a cloud-based and/or SaaS environment

  • Demonstrated experience leading highly-complex enterprise level initiatives with pragmatic marketing frameworks, Lean product management, and Agile concepts

  • Provides strategic thought leadership in enterprise initiatives in data structures, data analytics and AI concepts

  • Experience leading teams and/or product management organization, including leading others through influence and leading in highly matrixed organization

  • Experience creating plans aligned with financial budgets to drive financial performance (P&L) for product initiatives

  • Cloud certification
