Job Description:
The jobholder is responsible for monitoring sustainability-related regulations and trends in China, ensuring necessary internal escalation of potential regulatory compliance impacts with operational teams/sites in China. The role also supports the identification of risks and opportunities, contributes to the effective implementation of Airbus sustainability roadmaps, facilitates the formulation and development of the corporate Environmental Management System, and promotes sustainability awareness within Airbus China.

Regulatory Intelligence and Service
Monitor sustainability-related regulations in China; prepare monthly regulatory newsletter; anticipate emerging regulation trends; identify related risks/opportunities for decision making on Airbus products, services and activities
Provide in-depth regulatory analysis fitting local business context and priorities
Monitor developments in foreign regulations (e.g., EU) and evaluate their potential impacts on Chinese stakeholders
Sustainability Roadmaps
Contribute to the reduction of Airbus industrial environmental footprints including CO2, energy, water, waste and VOC (constituting five integral elements of Airbus High5+ Programme) by participating in monthly monitoring meetings, documenting meeting minutes and/or action trackers, maintaining High5+ database and preparing monthly High5+ reports
Support the communication and interpretation of methodologies, guidance, and recommendations from central Multi-Functional Teams (MFT) to local Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) and Facility Management (FM) teams; support local sites in identifying deficiencies and developing solutions
Conduct reviews and provide inputs to Environmental Substance Roadmap projects to enhance the management of chemical substances
Provide support for other roadmaps as needed
Environment Management System (EMS)
Contribute to the formulation and development of EMS at national level; ensure its effective implementation through the establishment of requisite documentation; support the integration of sustainability-related policies, principles, and regulatory requirements into the Airbus overall management system
Support the annual audit plan, internal and certification audits, findings follow up and actions closure for scope beyond operational environment
Sustainability awareness promotion
Support the animation of Functional & Divisional Sustainability Representative Network and Sustainability Ambassador Network; organise local Climate Fresk Workshops
Support community impact initiatives, sustainability market places and other employee engagement activities
Process optimisation and administrative support
Facilitate weekly team meeting, prepare meeting notes and update action list
Provide administrative support to streamline daily business operations
Conduct relevant desktop research and translation tasks as required to support team objectives
This role will involve some travel for business (once a/month) in China and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.
 
EDUCATION: with _Bachelor or Master_____ degree, in __environmental science or a related scientific field, or in law, politics, business administration, English literature with a sustainability focus____ major.
EXPERIENCE: _3-5__ year experience in __sustainability, corporate social responsibility, environmental management, or a related____ domain.
CERTIFICATION:
LANGUAGE: fluent English both in written and oral speaking
KNOWLEDGE / TECHNICAL SKILLS: good knowledge of environmental protection related laws and regulations, climate change causes and effects, sustainability disclosure, carbon trading, renewable energy, waste management, etc.; comprehensive knowledge of key Chinese government stakeholders involved in climate change, environmental protection, and energy transition matters; Solid skills in Microsoft Office/ Google tools
