Our portfolio includes machinery and plants as well as advanced process technology, components and comprehensive services. Guided by a strong sense of purpose, our more than 18,000 dedicated employees work to enhance the sustainability and efficiency of production processes globally.

Responsibilities / Tasks

We’re expanding our Liquid and Powders Division in Warrington and are looking for a Service & Sales Support Engineer to join our growing Service team. This is a varied and dynamic role that blends technical, commercial, and coordination responsibilities — ideal for someone who’s organised, proactive, and passionate about delivering exceptional customer support.

About the Role
This position is primarily office-based, with occasional site and customer visits depending on workload and business needs. You’ll play a key role in supporting GEA’s service growth strategy, ensuring customers receive timely, high-quality service solutions across a range of technologies, including atomisers, homogenisers, process upgrades, and energy retrofit projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the sales phase by preparing and coordinating service quotations, spare parts lists, and post-commissioning offers in collaboration with Service Sales Managers, Project Managers, and technical teams.

  • Manage project documentation and ensure all materials are accurate, consistent, and available via the GEA Assist platform.

  • Coordinate service projects and upgrades – from order processing and supplier liaison to delivery tracking and invoicing.

  • Provide CRM and planning support, maintaining service calendars, engineer schedules, and prompt handling of customer enquiries.

  • Assist in promoting GEA products and services on-site, ensuring customer satisfaction and compliance with all safety and company procedures.

This role offers exposure to both commercial and technical aspects of GEA’s service operations and the opportunity to play a pivotal part in our aftermarket growth strategy. No two days are the same — you’ll be at the heart of our mission to deliver innovative, reliable, and customer-focused service solutions.

Your Profile / Qualifications

  • Engineering background in mechanical, electrical, or process disciplines — supported by a craft apprenticeship or equivalent technical training.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.

  • Strong working knowledge of ERP systems (ideally SAP) and CRM platforms for quotation management, order processing, and internal coordination.

  • Excellent communication, organisation, and coordination skills, with strong attention to detail.

  • Confident engaging with customers, suppliers, and internal teams at all levels.

  • Proactive and self-motivated, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.

  • Willing to undertake occasional customer site visits as required.
