Key Responsibilities May Include:

  • Analyze data and manage stock to meet demand while preventing overstocks, ensuring optimal inventory levels.
  • Monitor and control stock at plants and manufacturers to optimize capacity, reduce costs, and ensure proper stock rotation.
  • Use forecasting tools such as SAP, JDA, and Excel to manage orders and predict future demand based on business needs.
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain and commercial teams to align business goals with budget and service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Develop and update optimization tools to streamline planning processes, minimize unnecessary movements, and improve operational efficiency.
  • Prepare and present reports on stock levels, forecasts, and operational performance to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Coordinate production planning and logistics to align production volumes with customer demand and safety stock levels.
  • Lead initiatives to prevent overstocking and enhance storage, stock rotation, and transportation plans, maximizing handling capacities.

Position Purpose

The role of the Supply Chain Optimization Analyst is to help optimize CHEP Supply Chain nationally by managing inventory, flows, and plant capacity. The analyst will leverage data to ensure inbound and outbound inventory are well balanced across all regions.

Major/Key Accountabilities

This role will work closely with most functions of CHEP including Operations, Quality, Retail Supply Chain, Sales, Logistics, Execution and Procurement.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Lead national storage planning across internal and customer facilities, ensuring balanced network capacity and optimal utilization at all plants.

  • Optimize scheduling processes for all product flows nationwide to enhance efficiency and service levels.

  • Plan and execute cross-border relocations, ensuring timely and cost-effective movement of inventory.

  • Manage half pallet operations nationally, including order fulfillment, production planning, and storage coordination.

  • Oversee UK/Euro pallet inventory across Canada, including procurement, production, and order management.

  • Coordinate holiday scheduling by aligning with retail, sales, operations, transportation, and execution teams to ensure seamless implementation.

  • Plan and manage new pallet purchases, collaborating with procurement to align sourcing with network demand and capacity.

  • Own and lead cost savings initiatives, driving measurable improvements in operational efficiency and financial performance.

  • Identify performance gaps in KPIs and propose cost-effective solutions for continuous improvement and operational excellence.

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to conduct cost-benefit analyses and develop ad hoc business cases supporting strategic decisions.

  • Lead and contribute to ad hoc projects requiring advanced supply chain analytics and strategic planning expertise.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant business analysis discipline (Business, Finance, Engineering, Operations or Supply Chain).

Experience

  • 3-5 years of analytical experience in Supply Chain

  • Gérer les opérations de demi-palettes à l'échelle nationale, y compris la gestion des commandes, la planification de la production et la coordination de l'entreposage.

  • Superviser l'inventaire de palettes du Royaume-Uni et de l'Europe à travers le Canada, y compris les achats, la production et la gestion des commandes.

  • Coordonnez la planification des Fêtes en vous alignant avec les équipes de vente au détail, des ventes, des opérations, du transport et de l'exécution afin d'assurer une mise en œuvre sans accroc.

  • Planifier et gérer les nouveaux achats de palettes, en collaborant avec les achats pour aligner l'approvisionnement sur la demande et la capacité du réseau.

  • Posséder et diriger des initiatives d'économies de coûts, favorisant des améliorations mesurables de l'efficacité opérationnelle et de la performance financière.

  • Identifier les lacunes de performance dans les ICP et proposer des solutions rentables pour l'amélioration continue et l'excellence opérationnelle.

  • Collaborer avec des équipes interfonctionnelles pour réaliser des analyses coûts-avantages et développer des cas d'affaires ad hoc soutenant des décisions stratégiques.

  • Diriger et contribuer à des projets ponctuels nécessitant une expertise avancée en analytique de la chaîne d'approvisionnement et en planification stratégique

Qualifications

Baccalauréat dans une discipline pertinente en analyse d'affaires (affaires, finances, ingénierie, opérations ou chaîne d'approvisionnement)

Expérience

3 à 5 ans d'expérience analytique en chaîne d'approvisionnement
