POSITION SUMMARY

The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for leading end-to-end planning activities to ensure optimal inventory levels, efficient production scheduling and timely product availability. This individual will drive sales & operations planning - working closely with the commercial team to build accurate forecasts and long-term growth projections, while also overseeing the planning team to ensure appropriate production plans and materials are in place to support customer demand. The Supply Chain Manager will also be responsible for warehousing and logistics – overseeing the receiving and shipment of product, maintaining inventory accuracy and optimizing material flow throughout the facility.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee monthly S&OP meetings and activities. Collaborate with commercial, production and finance to align on forecasts and capacity plans – partnering closely to develop monthly revenue projections considering both forecast accuracy and supply constraints.
  • Own the MRP process - including the escalation of expedite/de-expedite requests needed to support customer demand and maintaining appropriate inventory. Proactively identify supply risks and partner with strategic sourcing team to develop and execute risk mitigation plans.
  • Monitor inventory levels and establish robust replenishment strategies (improved safety stocks, reduced MOQs, etc). to manage costs while still meeting demand.
  • Identify and implement improvements in planning, forecasting and inventory control. Ensure accurate master data within ERP system while partnering with IT to improve upon ERP functionality/utilization.
  • Manage logistics and warehouse operations to ensure timely delivery of product and efficient material flow throughout facility; oversee cycle count program to ensure inventory accuracy.  
  • Develop and monitor reporting dashboards capturing key performance metrics – including OTD, inventory and forecast accuracy. Deliver regular reports to senior leadership, while also identifying and implementing mitigation strategies as needed.  
  • Manage and develop team of planners and schedulers. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong ability to interface effectively with customer, supplier and internal cross-functional counterparts.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with a demonstrated ability to work well with spreadsheets.
  • Excellent analytical skills, detail-oriented, and ability to multitask.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a larger team.
  • Advanced knowledge of ERP Systems (J.D. Edwards preferred).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • +7 years of relevant experience in purchasing, sourcing, or finance required
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from four-year university (preferably with a focus in Supply Chain Management, finance or engineering) or equivalent experience
  • APICS (American Production & Inventory Control Society) certification is preferred

Total Rewards

The compensation range for this position is $107,100.00 - $160,700.00, depending on experience. This position may be eligible for performance based bonus plan.
