Hendrick Motorsports Technical Solutions is seeking to add a Supply Chain Manager to provide day-to-day leadership to the contract manufacturing supply chain team. 

This role will help lead supply chain operation through strategic planning, best practices, and mindset of continual improvement; with focus on process and team development as company needs rapidly evolve.

This role requires top-level skill in ERP system use, strong business acumen, and the ability to source, process, and analyze data to support business decisions.

This role will also perform non-routine studies and projects to support holistic decision making and organization-wide success.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage materials inventory through systematic and physical monitoring practices and storeroom operations of receiving, stocking, sorting, picking. Respond and drive resolution to production downtime impacted by materials team.
  • Manage manpower daily to support production schedule. Work with purchasing and WMS manager to optimize daily performance.
  • Master ERP system functions and drive optimization through new features, processes, and setups.
  • Analyze data from various sources across the organization to identify patterns, trends, and insights and develop forecasts and procurement strategies.
  • Align and optimize inventory storeroom procedures of stocking, kitting, picking, and delivery.
  • Conduct inventory control procedures and tolerances, including periodic and year-ending count procedures. 
  • Transform analytical findings into clear, actionable recommendations to support business decisions and processes.
  • Perform non-routine assignments and data assessments that feed business decisions.
  • Promote cost-effective sourcing strategies based on knowledge of category, market, operations, and industry.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to align operational activities with overall business processes and goals.
  • Develop or evolve supply chain standard work and procedures to drive continuous improvement or alignment/adjustment to business objectives.
  • Create or manage process and training documentation to ensure system and process expectations, changes, updates, and improvements are effectively communicated.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, procedures, risk management and ethics programs.
  • Practice servant leadership in your approach to working with and developing the team.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or Finance
  • 5+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain operations, preferably manufacturing or Defense industry
  • Experience with ISO 9001 or other industry standard quality systems
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, diverse environment
  • Proficiency in ERP systems, procurement software, and data analytics tools preferred 
  • Experience with Microsoft D365 F&O a plus
  • Team leadership experience cross-functionally with internal stakeholders and external suppliers
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
