Job Description Summary

The Supply Chain FP&A Leader will work as part of the Pharmaceutical Diagnostics Integrated Supply Chain finance team and be responsible for the overall reporting of supply chains Income Statements and Cash (consolidation of Capex, Inventory & Accounts Payable). You will work cross functionally with PDX plant finance managers, SAP support teams, Group FP&A, Controllership and treasury to deliver growth, business strategy and profitability, as well as drive visibility and improvement into our gross margin & Cash processes.

Reporting to the Global Integrated Supply Chain Strategy leader, you will work indirectly with finance managers/analysts across multiple locations and work in partnership with Global Supply Chain CFO & Global FP&A team.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the consolidation of multiple Income Statements and ensuring accuracy, reliability and predictability of weekly/monthly and quarterly closing/estimate cycles
  • Responsible for the consolidation of PDX Cash in particular Capex, Inventory & Accounts Payable and supporting the PDx Cash leader with any operational drivers to cashflow movements
  • Responsible for the Supply Chain Income statement & Cash reporting (monthly and quarterly closing/estimate cycles)
  • Triangulation & understanding of operational drivers for movements if Income Statement/ Balance Sheet/ Cash
  • Income Statement & Cash monthly trend Analytics (using power BI or other AI business tools) to track progress against plan/target at a granular level. Recommending actions to get to planned performance for the operating teams
  • Sales & operating Plan financial modelling & comparison analysis to prior months operation/volume planning
  • Driving profitable growth by providing analysis of results for both Income Statement & Cash and reporting key metrics while advising the leadership team on risks and opportunities, as well as recommending actions
  • Partner with supply chain finance leader to updated standards costs and drivers.
  • Work with treasury to provide regular estimates of the FX exposure
  • Supporting the ISC Strategy Leader  in consolidating & operational story telling (both Income Statement & Cahs) for the long term strategy (3 year) and budget planning cycles
  • Drive standard work and continuous improvement across within the FP&A process plus the plants and functions
  • Partner with business leader and staff to drive operating performance & act as champion for strategic initiatives within the organization
  • Responsible for calculating and explaining the financial impacts coming from sales and operations planning
  • Assist with management reporting (regional and segment P&L’s) and communicate results to managers
  • Drive consistent usage of Hyperion, GLA (report net), and Power BI tools across GE Healthcare.  Develop new reports for process improvements

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration and demonstrable working knowledge of weekly/monthly and quarterly closing/estimate cycles.  The ideal candidate will also be able to demonstrate experience in developing forecasts & operating plans and leading business / finance reviews for both Income Statement & Cash

  • Experience in the pharmaceutical industry and a strong understanding of supply chain operations to continue driving operational excellence and compliance.
  • Strong experience in navigating and collaborating within a matrixed organizational structure, demonstrating strong stakeholder engagement across diverse functions and geographies.
  • Strong analytic skills & operational story telling: able to clearly link financial results to operational performance drivers, generate alternatives and drive positive change
  • Clear thinking / problem solving successfully led cross-functional projects/process improvement within operations/finance function involving process improvement; able to quickly grasp new ideas
  • Leadership experience: has two years experience leading team members balancing execution through others with inclusiveness, leveraging expertise, clear thinking, imagination, and external focus.
  • Excellent communication skills: experience working across multiple levels (including executive level), functions and regions; able to clearly communicate complex financial information in a easy to understand manner; able to deliver message effectively verbally and in writing
  • Solid PC skills: experience with financial systems/applications (i.e.: Oracle, SAP, COGNOS, Business Objects, etc.), strong Excel skills in data compilation and aggregation (i.e. pivot tables, VLookup, and Macros)
  • Fluency in English
  • Confidence / Assertiveness: strong influencing skills across business functions; confidence to approach business leaders with difficult messages and defend position; for example, work closely with business leaders to achieve business objectives while driving controllership/GE leadership behaviours
  • Experience working in global business environment with sound understanding of global process and transactional flows
  • Experience successfully leading cross-functional projects and process improvement within the operations/finance functions; able to quickly grasp new ideas.
  • Adaptable/flexible: being open to change (positive or negative) in response to new information, different or unexpected circumstances, and/or to work in ambiguous situations
  • Integrity: Accepting and adhering to high moral, ethical, and personal values in decisions, communications, actions, and when dealing with others
  • Basic understanding of financial compliance: SOX, GAAP
  • Trained and/or certified in process improvement methodology such as LEAN or Six Sigma
  • Graduate of GE's Financial Management Program (FMP), Experienced Financial Leadership Program (EFLP) or Corporate Audit Staff (CAS)/Operational Finance leadership program (OFLP); or graduate of other financial leadership programs
  • Masters’ degree in Business Administration
