Boeing Global Services (BGS) has an exciting opportunity in the BGS Supply Chain Strategy team for a Supply Chain Category Analyst. This team is responsible for supply chain category strategy across all BGS businesses.  This role is located in Dallas, TX; Plano, TX; Seattle, WA; Everett, WA.

Integral to the profitable execution of the BGS business, Supply Chain Category Management is responsible for developing and implementing category plans to improve supply chain delivery and execution.  Specifically, this role is responsible for:

  • Designs, extracts, analyzes and prepares reports

  • Data analysis, including analyzing and synthesizing procurement data, such as spend, part classification, supply chain planning / forecasting, cost performance, delivery performance, quality performance, etc., across all BGS businesses

  • Develops, analyzes and maintains processes, tools, information and industry best practices in support of Category Management and procurement processes

  • Utilizes multiples data sources to baseline current state and develop alternatives, such as potential suppliers for dual sourcing, understanding how to connect and balance customer requirements with supplier capacity, and improving supplier performance

  • Informs sourcing activities, including strategic sourcing, alternate / dual sourcing, part qualification, customer qualification / approval, long-term contracting

  • Assesses requests for information (RFI), requests for proposal (RFP), requests for quote (RFQ), and/or other solicitations

  • Assists in developing new sources / manufacturers, including conducting capability assessments, capacity assessments, customer and part qualification / approval

  • Collaborates with BCA and BDS Category Management

We need a Supply Chain Data Analyst to join our team and bring the following:

  • Data analysis.  Structures data in an organized way, identifies issues and risks, analyzes data inside and outside Boeing to develop alternatives.  Tracks progress through KPIs, makes performance accessible to all through dashboards and regular reviews, enables Category Managers and leadership to understand issues and track progress.

  • Data reporting.  Access to and familiarity with all BGS Supply Chain reporting systems.  Deep understanding of problems and issues with ability to synthesize many data sources and  develop actionable steps and takeaways.

  • Continuous improvement.  Originates action to improve existing conditions and processes; uses appropriate methods to identify opportunities, implements solutions, and measures impact.

  • Project management.  Apply best practices and experience to structure and manage projects to completion; able to prioritize multiple critical projects. 

  • Urgency.  An action-oriented, self-motivated driver that’s accountable for results.

  • Builds positive relationships.  Develops and uses collaborative relationships within and outside the organization to facilitate the accomplishment of work goals. Builds rapport and trust among stakeholders and leverages the organization's dynamics to promote program goals by focusing on a shared vision.

Required Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher, with 10+ years of work experience

  • 8+ years of experience in Supply Chain, Procurement, Planning, or Operations data analysis

  • Ability to travel to support business and team requirements (approximately 10%)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): 

  • Master’s of Science in Data Analytics or Business Analytics

  • Access and experience in BGS reporting systems

Summary Pay Range: $96,000 - $172,000
