JOB SYNOPSIS
GEICO is looking for a highly skilled social content strategist to bring the GEICO brand to life on social media. GEICO strives to deepen connection with our audience, and drive business growth through purposeful and relevant content. We’re looking for a candidate who has their finger on the pulse of culture, understands that creative is a force multiplier on social media, has a keen attention to detail and project management skills.
You support the development of paid social content in partnership with creative agency and internal creative teams. You work in lockstep with the GEICO media team to assess content needs, and plan and brief social content development. You evaluate content against brand strategy, social behavior, and coordinate the launch and refreshes of content. You will support the development and refinement of social strategy as well as the analysis of social content performance. This role reports to Sr. Manager Social Content Strategy and may have 1-2 direct reports.
5+ years in Social Strategy or related position in-house or at an agency
1-2 years' experience managing and mentoring team members
Take a data driven approach to briefing and evaluating content
Experience in developing paid social content that is tied to direct business results
Ability to vet creative Social executions against strategy
Experience working with internal and external creative teams
Experience working with large brands with a range of stakeholders inside and outside of marketing
Ability to evaluate content against specific platforms (ie: FB, IG, TikTok, Snapchat)
Understanding of community management and the importance of brand engagement on social
·Manage cross functional process with media team to translate paid social investment into asset needs, regularly updating to reflect changes in media strategy.
·Support development of creative briefs to kick off internal creative team concepting for paid social, managing timelines and execution from brief to launch
Work with agency counterparts to develop paid social content as part of omnichannel and/or social-first campaigns, including briefing, evaluating the work, attending production, and post-production reviews.
Drive connection and transparency across paid, organic, influencer, and partnership social activity, and work with counterparts in Brand and Creative Studio to ensure brand consistency.
Drive platform best practices in content creation; stay current on trends, specs, and ad formats to inform content creation
Support development and refinement of social media content strategy
In partnership with social counterparts, regularly review content performance in platform and drive both quick turn optimizations and manage long term learnings to incorporate into future briefings.
Work closely with marketing analytics and research to mine insights and enhance content analysis beyond in-platform performance.
Partner with media to develop boosting strategy/criteria for high performing organic social assets.

Annual Salary
$91,225.00 - $141,450.00The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate’s work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations.
