REQ2202 Supervisor, Housekeeping (Open)
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Supervisor, Housekeeping is responsible for the supervision of the subordinate for the cleaning of guestrooms, guest corridors, HOH and other service areas in accordance to the company’s service standards.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervision of Room Attendants to ensure all allocated daily tasks are completed in their section in accordance with established checklists and to Company’s standard operating procedures and guidelines
- Monitor and maintain the cleanliness of the room according to the set standard of the company.
- Undertaking cleaning duties when required.
- Supervise turn-down service to ensure tasks are completed in accordance with established procedures and practices
- Assist in the supervision of the other sections of the department as required
- Manage staff productivity within established benchmarks - recognising excellence and counselling/setting programs for those staff not achieving
- Assist in the management, coaching and development of Room Attendants to ensure competence, performance and succession objectives are met. This includes conducting performance reviews and counselling on all staff in accordance with Studio City Performance Management System
- Adhere to all security and maintenance procedures and practices including reporting any unusual or suspicious incidents, hazards or people, complaints and missing or damaged items in a timely and accurate manner
- Communicate with fellow team members and departments to proactively service guests, minimise confusion and ensure room standards are maintained and guest requirements are satisfied
- To check personal grooming according to hotel standards of Housekeeping Attendants
- Adhere to all Company policies and procedure.
- Report accidents, injuries, unsafe work conditions and/or security issues to supervisors.
- Perform other reasonable job duties as assigned by supervisors from time to time.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience
- 2 years Housekeeping experience at a supervisory level for 5 stars hotel
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent professional training
Skills / Competencies
- Responsible, self-motivated and independent
- Good command of written and spoken English and Cantonese, speak Mandarin is preferred
- Team player, who values teamwork, has good team building skills and is able to communicate effectively with all levels of employees.
- Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull and place objects on frequent basis without assistance
- Ability to work on flexible shift including overnight, weekends and holiday on rotation basis
- Ability to work on overtime when needed
