Supervisor Accounts Receivable

Cleveland-Cliffs Tooling and Stamping, has an immediate opportunity for a Supervisor Accounts Receivable in our Windsor, Ontario Facility. The Supervisor Accounts Receivable is responsible for daily operations of the Accounts Receivable department. Summary of Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the daily operations of the Accounts Receivable department, including invoicing, collections, cash application, and credit management.
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of customer billing based on revenue recognition guidance.
  • Monitor aging reports and drive collection activities to reduce DSO (Days Sales Outstanding).
  • Partner with Sales and Quality departments to resolve billing disputes and maintain good customer relationships.
  • Collaborate with Corporate Credit Department to assess and manage customer credit risk, perform credit reviews, and make recommendations on credit limits.
  • Prepare various AR and cash forecast reports for Finance leadership.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and customer contract terms.
  • Oversee timely processing of customer payments (checks, ACH, wire transfers) and ensure accurate posting to the general ledger.
  • Manage and support month-end closing activities, providing necessary information for account reconciliations and journal entries.
  • Recommend and implement process improvements to optimize AR processes and cash flow.
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate performance of AR staff.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (Bachelor’s preferred).

  • Experience in Accounts Receivable/Collections, with experience in a leadership role.

  • Familiarity with customer payment terms

  • Proficiency in ERP systems, Epicor CMS and Microsoft Excel.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (Bachelor’s preferred).
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment, automotive industry strongly preferred.
