Summer Internship 2026: Purchases

Have you ever thought about the complex supply chains that are needed to deliver consumer products to the store shelves for our consumers?

And how do companies negotiate services contracts needed to support the infrastructure, employees, and marketing? At P&G our Purchases group develops the sourcing strategy and optimizes operations of all raw materials, packaging and services needed by the company to produce the best consumer products in the world! 

As a purchasing intern you will own decisions on how to source and/or manage the supply chains that are the backbone of our company. We have managers that focus on various industries and business needs, ranging from Advertising agencies, to IT services, to Packaging and Construction. Your work from Day 1 will vary depending on which team you are on but could include: analyzing sourcing markets and developing expertise in those markets. 

• Developing strategies for sourcing that would increase our innovation pipeline, drive costs down, and influence industries to transform themselves. 

• Negotiating the right deals, with the right suppliers, for the right reasons. 

• Working with supplier to optimize inventory levels, order quantities and logistics. 

• Shifting supplier relationships and industries to be a Force for Good and a Force for Growth by incorporating Sustainability and Equality & Inclusion into your work. 

What to expect? 

The internship program will take place on-site between July – September. We guarantee responsibilities from day 1 and ownership of at least one or two big projects. During your 10-week summer internship, you will get to see whether a career at P&G is what will help you ignite your potential through real-life projects, learning & development opportunities and leaders who will support you with mentoring and coaching. 

At the end of the internship, our successful interns have the potential to secure a full-time position with P&G after graduation. As a “build from within” company, our people start at entry level and progress through the organization supported with mentorship and coaching. 

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in 2027

• Fluent in both written & spoken English 

• Strong thinking/problem-solving, leadership, innovation skills
