We are seeking a motivated intern to assist in developing and implementing a process and framework for tracking costs, resources, and overhead allocations related to our SaaS products. This intern will also contribute to setting up a structured process for resource planning to support financial transparency and operational efficiency across departments.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with finance, accounting, and operations teams to design a cost-tracking framework for SaaS products and related overhead. 
  • Assist in identifying and mapping key cost drivers (e.g., personnel, software tools, hosting costs, and support services). 
  • Support development of resource planning models, including workforce utilization and budgeting tools. 
  • Gather and analyze financial data to support cost allocation methodologies and resource forecasts. 
  • Help document processes and create templates for ongoing monitoring and reporting.
  • Prepare regular summaries and visualizations of financial and operational data to support management decisions. 
  • Contribute to process improvement and automation initiatives within finance and operations.

Education and Experience:

  • Working toward a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Management Information Systems, Business Administration, or related study.
  • Anticipated graduation date within one year of internship
  • Minimum Overall and Major GPA of 2.8
  • Strong academic standing with coursework or experience in Managerial Accounting or Cost Accounting, Financial Analysis or Modeling, and Data Analytics (preferred).
  • Minimum of 6 – 12 Accounting hours depending on practice

Professional Skills Requirements:

  • Excellent analytical and quantitative skills with attention to detail. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or similar). 
  • Familiarity with SaaS business models, cost allocation principles, or resource planning is a plus. 
  • Strong organizational and communication skills. 
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Intermediate knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications, Outlook, and etc.

Preferred Experience:

  • Exposure to Workday Finance or similar ERP platforms.
  • Experience with project management or process documentation tools.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must have intermediate knowledge of Microsoft® Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet navigation and research.

Certificates and Licenses:

Valid driver's license required.

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Plano TX Hourly Salary: $22.60 - $26.30.

Certain roles may be eligible for incentive compensation.
