Purpose Within the Organization:
Under general direction, the Audio-Visual Systems SW Technicians provide technical support by way of configuration, updating, and maintenance of various audio and video equipment used in campus operations. Operates as tier 1 troubleshooter for all hardware and software configurations of all audio and visual media control systems and end devices used throughout campus.
Responsibilities Related to Purpose:
- Test integrated systems and perform troubleshooting when required
- Assist the Audio-Visual Engineer and Supervisor with projects and commissioning of systems
- Conduct testing, firmware updates, and maintenance on Audio Visual systems and components
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Understanding of Audio and Video signals
- Proficient in basic signal flow troubleshooting
- PC knowledge including communication methods between PC and Devices
- Proficient with MS Office Suite
- Willingness and ability to work non-traditional hours including nights, weekends, holidays, special events depending on event schedules.
- Willingness and ability to adapt when tasks change at a moments notice.
- Ability to lift, move and carry up to 45 pounds alone and up to 90 pounds assisted and willingness and ability to run cabling when necessary and set up all necessary equipment.

- Enrolled at GCU as a full-time student in a Bachelor’s program or Master’s Program.
- Retain a 2.0 GPA as a Bachelor level student or a 3.0 GPA as a Master level student.
- Maintain good financial and academic (SAP) standing with the University.
