About the role

The Student and Volunteer Engagement Specialist leads the implementation of CPA's volunteer and student program. The Specialist is responsible for coordinating student scholarship, placement, work experience and volunteering opportunities across the organisation. The program aims to provide high quality student and volunteer engagement experiences and build a pipeline of future talent for the organisation.

Responsibilities of the role (not limited to):

  • Lead and deliver CPA’s student and volunteer programs, ensuring high-quality engagement and learning experiences.
  • Manage the student scholarship program and partnerships with universities to support and develop future allied health talent.
  • Coordinate student placements and volunteering opportunities across priority business areas.
  • Support managers and supervisors with resources, guidance, and processes to ensure positive participant experiences.
  • Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and quality standards for student and volunteer programs.
  • Track budgets, monitor outcomes, and analyse data to measure program impact and alignment with CPA’s workforce strategy.
  • Promote opportunities and share success stories through engaging communications across multiple channels.
  • Provide expert advice on volunteer best practice in line with National Volunteer Standards.

About you:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience working with students or volunteers in a similar role
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strategic relationships
  • Demonstrated high level customer service experience liaising with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Demonstrated exceptional communication skills both verbal and written
  • High energy levels with a "glass half full" attitude
  • A warm, pro-active and approachable nature with the ability to build rapport with a range of stakeholders
