About This Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity for a Student Experience Officer as we are offering a permanent position in our team. In this role, you will be providing administrative and communication support to the student experience team in all activities related to the development, implementation and coordination of student experience activities for students from within the Faculty of Engineering, Architecture and Information Technology (EAIT).
Key responsibilities will include:
Student Administration: Provide high-quality, client-focused support to students by managing email, phone, and in-person enquiries while maintaining confidentiality. Use IT systems such as SI-net, Oracle Service Cloud, and Microsoft Office, and assist with other Faculty Office activities as required.
Marketing and Communication: Create and deliver engaging marketing and digital content aligned with Faculty priorities, maintain the team’s website and communications, and develop promotional materials including written and visual content for events across various media channels.
Engagement Programs and Events: Support student activities and events by coordinating logistics, liaising with stakeholders, and providing feedback for improvement. Represent the team at events, apply strong communication and organisational skills, and leverage experience or qualifications in marketing, communications, or related fields, with proficiency in digital tools, CRMs, and design software.

About You
Degree qualifications in business, marketing, communications, or related field or an equivalent combination of experience; and / or education/training.
Interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate effectively, negotiate effective outcomes and work effectively as a member of a high performing team. A strong orientation to the provision of a high level of customer service over the phone and in person in a busy environment.
Strong organisational skills and demonstrated ability to prioritise own workload, meet deadlines and work with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail and in accordance with policies and procedures.
Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills and digital literacy skills including CRM’s, websites and social media platforms.
Experience in the development of marketing and communications materials in line with brand guidelines, and experience using relevant software (e.g. InDesign and Vision6).
High level of computer proficiency (competency at intermediate level at least) with software packages such as Microsoft Office (particularly Microsoft Excel and Word) and customer relationship management (CRM) packages.
The successful candidate may be required to complete a number of pre-employment checks, including: right to work in Australia, criminal check, education check, etc.
