Base salary will be in the range $82,133 - $91,295 + 17% Superannuation (HEW Level 5)
Based at our Herston Campus
We are seeking motivated, energetic and well-organised Student and Academic Administration Officers to join the Medical School, primarily supporting the MD Program. In this role, you will play a key part in delivering an exceptional student experience by providing friendly, accurate and informed advice to students and staff and contributing to a positive, professional service environment. You will manage day-to-day administrative processes, support teaching and learning activities, resolve issues as they arise, and work collaboratively with colleagues across the School. Your contribution will help maintain a supportive, inclusive and high-quality education experience that reflects UQ’s commitment to excellence.
Key responsibilities will include:
Deliver timely and accurate student and stakeholder support, responding to enquiries and providing guidance in line with University policies, procedures and legislation.
Process applications and maintain student, course and program information using systems such as CRM, Si-Net, Blackboard, ExamSoft and related platforms.
Support course and assessment administration including timetabling, teaching materials, examinations, grade management and candidate coordination.
Contribute to process improvement, data accuracy, meeting support, room bookings and other administrative tasks as required.

Salary packaging options
An undergraduate degree in a relevant area or an equivalent combination of experience and/or education/training.
A sound understanding of administrative processes relevant to student and academic administration, or the ability to rapidly gain such knowledge.
Demonstrated ability to establish priorities and meet deadline and a high level of attention to detail and accuracy in written work.
Ability to exercise initiative and judgment and to work independently and autonomously.
High level written, oral and interpersonal communication skills.
The ability to work collaboratively and effectively within the team and across other organisational units.
An empathy with and ability to communicate with students, including those from diverse cultural backgrounds.
Knowledge of University student computer systems and packages e.g. Microsoft office, SI-net, Business Objects, InPlace and the use of CRM systems would be desirable.
The successful candidate may be required to complete a number of pre-employment checks, including right to work in Australia, criminal check.
